Hope everyone had a great summer! It’s now fireplace time, and the cats are happy to see us inside again.

Welcome back, Event. I had to look twice on the cat on the left, thought those were some funny looking ears, but it's an upside down kitty. Cute!!!!
Back is getting worse, not better, this really sucks! I never have back problems, only been to chiropractor a few times about 15 years ago when had problem with shoulder. This morning (and all night) I cannot stand or sit up without having an arm over my head. I found that if I fully recline and put laptop on my lap, I'm perfectly fine, though! Wonder if I can get my recliner into my car to take it to work today. LOL Called chiropractor, left message begging to be seen this morning. Hoping I can handle the drive to town, which takes 25 minutes. Praying they can fix the issue and I'll be able to work today, but more importantly, that I can go on my "girls weekend out" tomorrow and Sunday with 3 other ladies. We shall see .....

No back messager ( Haro )things for your chair .They do a better job than mine JW and it could be because mine is so old .I am surprised it has lasted 15 years .I got mine at costco in NJ .I think I paid 29 dollars for it then but the one at sams club was really nice .I do want a pellet stove though ,a friend bought one and he fills the hopper with 15 pounds of pellets and it lasts over a week .50 lb bag of pellets less than 5 dollars and he wants another stove .The one he has he got at tractor supply 2 years ago and it heats half of his house which is 2100 sq. ft .He bought it in the spring when they had them end of season sale .He was thinking of getting the pellets delivered because they are cheaper and storage thing is 199 dollars .He figured it out and pellets then would come out to 2.45 for 50 lbs .

I suppose we will just keep on using our wood stove as long as we can get free wood that people don't want on their land and maybe if we ever get tired of chopping/stacking wood we would consider a pellet stove. Would have to do a comparison study on which would be cheaper tho, using electric, propane or the pellets. For many years in the past all we used in the wood stove was left over lumber from builders around here building houses but the house building is not so much anymore and now noticed the ones around here that are building have these big dumpsters where they throw the left over wood into now. Maybe it's cuz they aren't allowed to burn on the building sites anymore? Before they would just pile up the wood and burn it if no one took it.

i hear what you are saying jw, ime forever sourcing firewood, anything from discarded wooden furnature, building site scraps, i know the guys who look after the local cemetary who supply me with all the trees they cut down, and if all else fails i go over the field into the woods and drop my own tree, (dont let my local authorities know), i once bought one of those machines that make logs from old cardboard but they took too long to dry out and didnt put much heat out, ime now thinking about putting a log burning stove in the house so must also look at tripling my wood supply, also i have a free supply of coal !
