Here is my dad during the Korean war. He was such a handsome man!!!

And my son's Army graduation pic. I'm ever so thankful for my son. Took him to supper last night (he had to work today) to celebrate his accomplishments in life.

When I plant shrubs or trees or bulbs I add shredded paper mixed in with the soil I put back in with fertilizer added to the mix .It gives the roots place to spread out in hard or poor soil .My dad always used all the paper that came into the house in his gardens and would rototiller it into the ground .He thought of it as organic fertilizer .I have been amazed over the years just how much I learned from my daddy .God bless all the parents in this world who taught there children what they knew .And what I learned from my moms mom and dad .

3. Enjoyed living in the middle of nowhere.
4. Enjoyed working at a gas station for $5.00 a day.
5. Hated public school lunch black olives and cheese sticks.
6. Not afraid of the dark.
7. Have always been car crazy.
8. Enjoy solitude.
9. Do not like nature hikes that involve forging a cold water creek with a heavy pack and M16 in the middle of a winter night.
10. Can't whistle worth a darn.
11. Had a out of control horse throw me into a pine tree.
12. Played organized softball from 12 to 26.
13. Am a hamburger fanatic.
14. Like LMN.
15. Watch Wheel of Fortune almost every night.

not to change the subject lou but wanted to ask if anyone saw the nat geo programs of JFK anniversary of his death and how they cleared up all the home movies of that horrible day .They used high definition to clear them up and it shows the mystery 3rd shot that they could not find .It hit the traffic light and the curb and was actually the first bullet and second and third bullet hit JFK

hard to believe 50 years since JFK and now watching how it effected all the security people in charge of protecting him and all the stories we did not hear before /Like Jackie asking for the casket to be opened and how she asked for scissors and snipped a piece of his hair off .Also how she went back to the grave that night after the service was over so she could see the eternal flame .Gosh so many things I did not know and how great they cleared up all the film .It effected so many people more than I could ever realize :frown:
