Speaking of money.... do you know that most people under the age of 30, do not know why a nickle is worth only 5 cents but is twice as big as a dime, which is worth twice as much! Ask the kids and see if they know.,,., it just blows my mind that the younger generation have no idea why!! We need to get back to the "gold standard"!

Well, our family get together was a bust. Cathy became ill this morning so we were unable to attend. ;(

Sorry Lou as I know you were looking forward to going. Hope Cathy is feeling better and I have not heard anything from sissy. Worried about her situation w/ her husband but hopeful she is just busy helping him to get better.

My sister-in-law was outside just as a hawk dropped a kitten in her yard. Somehow she found the little male kittens owner then adopted its sister. After full service by the vet they now have a safe new home at my niece's.

Holy cow, that's unreal. Glad that little guy was dropped into your sister-in-law's yard. I saw a hawk drop a squirrel one time, and it was from up pretty high, above the tall trees. I always wondered if it survived the drop.
I made homemade spaghetti sauce tonight for supper. Then remembered I still had carrots and celery in the fridge and thought, Why not? So, I called it "Garden Spaghetti Sauce. Pretty good stuff, if I do say so myself.

When I see people who appear to be among the lower economic segment carrying huge arm loads of clothes into a dry cleaners I become puzzled. In such a case 1+1=3 which is only possible by tilting the scales.
