That was back in 2001 when i got my new truck and weird thing is there is a safety wire running through the spring that is supposed to prevent it and that broke too .I was ok and still alive and healthy .Hated they had to shave some of my head though .Down here I just have a carport no garage and no springs .

I mowed the wild flower field today, getting it ready for nectar friendly flowers for the bee hives I am putting in next summer. While mowing I saw a lot of movement in the grass to the side of where I was mowing. I was herding a bunch of huge praying mantis. I would stop the mower, collect them in my shirt and take them to safe gardens. Picked up around 20, boy they can pinch! Then must have mowed a hornets nest, luckily the mild ones, no stings. Then when dropping the mower from 4 to 2 inches for another pass, saw a brown mound. ...........a turtle...... safe and sound, rescued it, took it over to the other garden not being mowed.

What a beautiful day today was.

lol and totally forgot, when I got the mower out, it had only been sitting for about 5 days, rode it over to the garden to mow, went to adjust the speed....................ants, ant eggs pouring out around the gas tank, the controls darn things moved in and set up house in my mower. I stood there kicking the side chasing those suckers out of my mower, finally sprayed it for the stragglers, hate being bit by ants.

If there where I missed them! There was a bunny that ran out of the mow area, so I had to a walk through to make sure there was no bunny nest with babies.

I noticed yesterday that bunnies are pairing up again...........maybe for one last fling of the year? Wonder how many times they mate and have litters per year?

Very disappointed with my blood test this morning. Oh the blood draw was painless and of course we do not have the results but I had my heart set on getting a Sponge Bob Square Pants bandaid. Instead I got a boring flesh colored one. I pouted all the way home.

No matter your age it's fun to be silly every now and then.
