I pretty much grew up in small towns, 13 years in a town of only 1200, then the last 35 or so years in 15,000 people town. I live in the country, but when in town, seems most people "share" very well, if you need to change lanes. It seems to me in the big cities, on the interstates, people ride the bumper of the car in front of them just so you can't move over a lane. It's disgusting! At the county fair 2 weeks ago, everyone leaves at the same time after the evening shows. Seems everyone knows the rule ... one from this direction, then one from that direction. Share and share alike. I love that about my "small town USA". Seems people in the big cities have to drive farther to work, always traffic jams, and how much quicker will you get there because you were zooming in and out of traffic on the interstate? I have to remind myself of that fact when I sometimes want to pass on a 2 lane highway, just few miles from the town where I will turn off. Does it really matter I'm going 5 mph slower than I want to go? Gets me there maybe 10 seconds sooner. :blueflower: Life is just too short to worry about little things like that. Slow down and enjoy the scenery!
Here's a pic, maybe some of you have seen this type of thing before. Driving home on a country road, spotted what I think were hibiscus flowers blooming in the road ditch every now and then, and then noticed the length of this corn field was solid white, pale and darker pink flowers! Are these wild hardy hibiscus? This is the type of thing others drive by daily, and never even notice.
