This guy had a hot dog stand set up in the empty parking lot right across from city hall, which right next to the river, and he had quite a line up!! There was lots of people downtown looking at flood, good for downtown business! City hall basement and underground parking has some flooding dispite all best efforts.

Dark clouds gathered this afternoon after work, and threatened to make flooding worse... only a light shower came.

Thank goodness the pond is all good!!

Yeah, that would serve her right! She'd have to listen to me whining because my arthritis is acting up so bad after closing all those jars that I can't move my fingers any more!! Besides, SHE is the one who usually opens the real difficult ones, anyway. :grumble:

Those jars would not stop me from getting them open. Costco does that w/ stuff and I just get out the hammer and screw driver and knock and pry the heck out of them. I do get them open but of course if hubby is handy I ask him first. Those darn hard clear plastic protection shields they put on some stuff you buy is like trying to break into Fort Knox!

Went to groom the lilies, never have I seen so many water spiders, 2-3 on each lily, up to 3 inches in size.............(I dislike being around spiders btw)
Also more aphids than I have ever seen, ants walking lily pad to lily pad to groom the aphids.

Managed to do a few than quit, more tomorrow, already over 90 heat index, darn heat just kills me. Heading to 96 real over 100 heat index. Totally mucked up the pond making bird bathing spots in the bog oh well it will clear in a little bit.
