JW, I suspect like you do, that the previous buyers didn't have financing because the bank would not finance a house that needed too much work, and the price was higher than it needs to be to do the work. I sure hope the seller has learned their lesson and will drop the price and let your sister buy it! Good luck to her. What is the deadline to know? I'm praying for good news for your sister.
Sissy, I thought you bought a new mower? Did your spark plug wire come off? I know some of the trees I go under used to short out my previous mower, they had the spark plug on the back of the motor, but the branches would sometimes touch it and short it out. I'm sure you will figure out what is going on with your little red sports car. :claphands:

Here is my car story for today! I have an '06 Charger, bought it with 2,500 miles on it (dealer was driving it) in Feb., 2007. I've always had oil changes done, and when I put new tires on it at 33,000 miles (evidently tires on new cars don't last very long ...), I had it done at a local tire dealer that gives free rotates every 6K miles, which I have done religiously.
Today, I assumed I was going to need brake pads, possibly new tires, as well as the rotate and oil change. I was pleasantly surprised!!! My tires have just under 85K miles on them! Yep, no kidding, on 60K mile rated tires, I have 85K, and they said they have plenty of tread, and if it wasn't for the sides being a little cracked, (tires are 5 years old), they wouldn't even know they were that old! They suggest new tires before winter (although the truck does all my winter slick road driving). And, brake pads on the rear are really good, front are still fine, maybe next time on front! These are original brake pads, too. I could not believe that.
So, what started out as likely over $1,000 bill, turned out to be $36 for the oil change. They even put my car on the computer to see if anything came up and didn't charge me for that either. Within the last year, my car has acted up twice in a weird way. Once, I passed a car on a 2 lane highway, then lost power. Nothing. Pulled over on side road, could not move forward. It would go backwards, but not forwards. Shut off car, waited a few minutes, and it was fine. About a month ago, took neighbors out with me to eat, and car would not go over 55 mph, even with gas pedal to the floor. Nothing. No slower, just no faster. When we came home, all was normal again. So, the guy said they can only find that problem if it is acting up when they hook it up to the computer.
If anyone is wondering, my tires are Michelins. I don't remember what I paid for them, but they were not top end by any means. Evidently, since 2008 when I put them on my car, they have gone up in price, at least the same tires I have on, as he said they would be $900 for a set! He said he has several others that are really good tires rated at 60K miles for less, too.

Walking my lil missy today, see a box turtle heading down the 4 feet of rock wall into the big pond. I take her back into the house, the turtle is gone! Look for the sucker, don't want it to drown, finally see it hanging onto the lilies floating.............it is on its own! The big pond it can walk out if it wishes.

You guys will laugh at this visual. I am spraying creeping charlie.......hate the stuff.........with borax. I smack each clump to make the tiny little praying mantis move so I can move them before spraying............ My neighbors must think I am one crazy lady! They are from 1/2 inch to an inch in size right now.

My honey, last night, said it was nice to see me happy again. I didn't notice I was not. This pup makes me laugh, keeps me busy. Honey said she filled a hole in our life, even though he and I get along so well, they just add something to life

Ordered two types of less the a year old fancy goldfish from one of the top breeders. 8 ryukins and 8 vail tails. Need to get QT ready for them. Other then 5 or so fish from petsmart that died prior to making it out of QT these are the first new fish I have purchased in over a decade. Can you tell I am excited.

I had that happen to my 1972 ish VW squarback (type 3) in colorado. Called the cops and they said unless there was a theft they would not come out.

Sort of funny how they get to pick and choose what to enforce and we get ticketed for everything. Of course it helps to be young female and cute in that regard. Listened to 18 year old girls tell how they were stopped something like 10 times and never once got a ticket even though they were doing 20 or 30 over. I guess we need form female cops!

There is nothing fair about the law.

sound like it HTH you are waiting on pins and needles and the excitement mounts for the big ending .Sorry to see that happen to your daughter koiguy .People need to respect others property that they worked hard for .Just came in from mowing to have a nice iced vanilla iced coffee all this happened .Thing is if they don't report them how are they going to catch the person .Most bad people follow a pattern that usually slips them up .
