Lou and Koyguy,

I think some of the posts from yesterday were a bit direct. Lou, I agree with what you are saying that the word “cure” is a very strong word. With that I think you came back at Koyguy very direct with some harsh words.

I watched the video yesterday on seizures and I also watched the Rick Simpson video on the other thread last night. This topic is not as black and white as if you were discussing if a fish should be in a bowl of water or sand.

My change to "emotiwords/phrases" in lieu of "emoticons" has been must self satisfying. I find my unconventional approach to what is generally concise pictural expressions to be freedom to release my emotions more freely. Strange? Yes. A peak into my mind? Yes ......................( mischievous smile )

in canada yes... here in the staes no we have limited growing and use medicinally in some staes but federally its still illegal. i have attended medical marijuana benefits. heard the stories of people sent home to die from conventional medicine, who cured their cancers. cured diabetes, stopped seizures including grand mal seizures...going from several everyday to not having one in months or years. RICK SIMPSON is from Canada, you may be already familiar with his story.
commercial hemp is not of much medicinal use...but its one of the most nutritious plants you can eat.
EVENT HORIZON...AS YOU CAN SEE I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT CURING SEIZURES OF ANY KIND ..BUT "STOPPING" MEANING PREVENTING THEM. SEIZURES ARE BUT ONE SYMPTOM OF A DISEASE.... BUT YES, TESTIMONIAL VIDEOS, AND WRITTEN TESTIMONIALS OF IT CURING CANCER, AND OTHER DISEASES. AND CONTROLLING MANY MORE. ARE MORE THAN PLENTIFUL IF YOU LOOK.

All I am trying to say is that I can see how both of you got edgy with each other. I tried not to make comments on one side or the other due to the fact I have NOT read or watched all the material you are talking about. I was not supporting Lou or yourself, I was just trying to mend fences on a complicated topic. It is complicated just due to the politics behind it all.

I will continue to read and watch what you have posted on your Rick Sampson thread (the first video was a long one) and make some comments about the subject there. I hope I have not offended anyone.

event horizon ...i took no offence at all. i did take offence to be called a liar..or posting bullshit because someone wasnt aware of something. if you post something that i doubt is true. i would ask for evidence to back it up. not call it bullshit just because i didnt know about it, then, i provided evidence.. i didnt get an apology or an "oh, maybe your right" .
this is an article about the sousop fruit. also supposedly known to cure cancer. i've done some research and found nothing to dispute the claims. this article also supports the idea that big pharma hides natural medicines in the name of profits. i still cant verify its truth, but i'm not gonna say its a lie because i dont know.

I hope that someday medical marijuana will be available to all everywhere. I also hope that big pharmaceutical companies will no longer control or train doctor's. It is a conflict of interest for the pharmaceutical company to train the doctors. Lots of doctors refuse to think out of the box, and hence they only prescribe chemicals which can be sold only by pharmaceutical company's. Even though we all know that big pharmaceutical companys have made many many bad drugs, which killed many many people, or caused babies to be born with no arms or legs. Every day we see the pharmaceutical commercials on TV that make bold claims and show happy healthy people, and tell you to ask your doctor if this medication is right for you, all the while they warn you of all the bad things that can and will mostly happen to you if you take that medication. Most ignore the horrid drug warnings, most see only what they choose to see, the happy dancing people on the TV adds. We are conditioned to believe what we see and hear in TV, and lots of people blindly follows others to their death, from horrible prescription medication.

Big Lou, if you saw a nice TV commercial on TV that told you that Medical marijuana would greatly help you, and this commercial showed happy healthy doctors, lawyers, school teachers and mothers, all taking Medicial marijuana, would you ask your doctor if marijuana was right for you?

the thing is...i wouldnt call something bullshit, or imply somebody is wrong, or lying. because i was ignorant on the subject.... just because i dont know about it doesnt mean it doesnt exist!
and as a rule, I dont think Lou would either. His response was simply an emotional knee jerk reaction. I can think of a time or two in my life when I disagreed with something and asked if someone was "f'ing nuts" ... I was even wrong, and later apologized, but it didnt prevent my knee jerk reaction at the time. All you can do is provide the information. Some will be open to it, others wont.

Koiguy, without a doubt my response regarding the herbs curing abilities was made in a overly harsh and disrespectful manner. I truly apologize to you and hope our fence can now be mended. Sir, you may indeed be correct. I am obviously not a expert nor have the knowledge of a layman on the subject. My abrupt response was brought on due to emotion and my dependence on conventional medical science. Who know, maybe many other medicinal benefits can be derived from natures bounty.

I sincerely thank you for expressing your feelings so openly. You helped me realize that alternatives do exist outside of the bubble inwhich I live.

Sincerely,
Lou

On keeping with the thoughts of a lighter mood, thought I would share how our afternoon/early evening went yesterday:)

So our daughter calls about 2:30 from work, saying she found another car on Craigslist (dealer) that she wants to go look at. She has already called the dealer, explained about her accident, has looked at a lot of cars, doesnt want to waste a trip, and their asking price is more than she has (they were asking $8000). She tells them she only has $6500 (insurance company gave her $6800 for her car, but needed to hold back a bit to register, etc, without getting into her savings) ... He tells her that since he has TWO of the same vehicle, if she could come up with $7000, he would let her take either ...

So she tells me all of this, and red flags are going off ... dealers dont just drop their prices over the phone ... but she tells me they are open til 6 .. told her I didnt think we could make it today, as I had a meeting with a new ad rep at 4:30 and didnt know if we would finish in time ... my meeting went great, really liked him ... so anyways, she calls the dealer back, tells him this, and he offers to stay later.

The meeting ends at 5:30 .. so she asks if we can go ... I say call the dealer, and yes, he is willing to wait. Was going to take a bit to get there. Needed gas, and needed to drop a car off to another kid so he could get home from work (when daughter got out of work, walked over and took her brothers car LOL) ... Im still not feeling warm and fuzzy, as again, dealers dont just drop their prices over the phone, I am thinking it is yet another rat. Because of the nature of her accident, she wants an SUV, but doesnt want to pay for fuel in a v-8, and with a limited price point to work with, that dropped the only option to Ford Explorers. We have been to EVERY new and used car dealer in the area.

Hubby went over the vehicle and actually gave this one a go ahead (one rusty bolt on a body mount was the worst defect). One owner (CarFax), and obviously well cared for. She was thrilled. So she writes two checks to the dealer. One for the purchase, and one for the registry ... So he knows her old car is gone, and has kept her plates ... I was expecting to go back today to pick it up (after the checks were verified to be good). When he learned that we had her plates in our truck, he told her she could take it home last night:)

I had looked up the book value before going, and at dealer, in mint condition, it was $7600. The CarFax report noted adding another $1100 for the good history, so thinking she made out well getting it for $7000. It's a 2002 Ford Explorer Limited (the top model with every conceivable option for the year).

Here are the dealer pictures that were posted online. We have an explorer v8 and it can go from here to Atlantic City NJ on a tank of gas .We stop for pee breaks but our explorer keeps going .We are thinking of buying a ford edge and giving the 2001 explorer to my son .I can't see trading it in .My sport trac we are keeping as it has only just over 30 thousand miles on it and it is a 2001 .

Morning Lou. NOT talking about this particular herb, here is my take in a nut shell. Modern medicine IS a wonderful thing, but we did not become extinct because it didnt exist. Surely, people who are helped today may not have made it long ago, but they DID have "medicines" that they believed in, which also included faith/prayer, or what not. Society is getting further and further away from God, and look at the result. Do we THROW OUT all the old medicines as well? Is EVERYTHING really new and improved? Or do we look to the past to define our futures? Like all things in life, there needs to be a balance.
