Yeh amazing what wind can damage .I opened all the windows in my house and I call it dusting everything LOL .Wonder whats next earthquake shook the house then wind from the hurricane and torrential downpours which we need rain here but did not get a drop

Honey and I and our houses are fine, mogise, but so many have lost everything. We were just on the far outside borders of it.

The floods are horrific up in the north, houses just gone. Hopefully some had flood insurance, without it the insurance companies won't cover any damage. Whole towns shut off because all roads washed out.

Earthquakes are kinda fun if they don't cause any damage and volcano's are not fun at all. The ash alone can damage the engine of your car. I remember the Mt. St. Helens eruption here and it was not nice at all. Several people died and it was horrific to see and hear on the news. People were camping and fishing up there and then blamo.

My daughter and her family live in New Zealand, about two hours from Christchurch. My son-in-law is a fireman, and has been to ChCh. on rescue and clean-up missions. Believe me, there is nothing fun about those quakes! Over ten thousand after-shocks in nine months! John
