Yes, pets very good therapy too! POppY and BeaR like to snuggle too, and when I am tired, they make me feel much better! When I was very sick with blood poisoning several years ago, Poppy would not leave my side, she was stuck to me like glue, till the paramedics and ambulance took me away!

My lil girl looked for my late hubby for months after he passed, kept going back to the room where he died. She was sure she would find him, it was heart breaking.

Cathy, welcome and glad you will be keeping us posted on your loving husband! We are all thinking of him, and many of us praying for him as well! Take good care of him, and yes, animals can be VERY good for the soul when we are hurt! Way to go, Sunny! Keep your "daddy" in your loving paws. :)

That's just so sad, Addy that must have just broke your heart... after my beloved Sadie passed, Bear and Poppy howled for hours and Bear would not go sit in top of the old car for months, cause he and his Momma Sadie sat there together. Then the trail they used to "blaze" to the old car together grew over with grass, Sadie death (Poppy and Bear's momma)was also very hard on John, he cried, and I cried for months, it just heart breaking!

I have always been a dog person, just love them. It hurts deeply when you lose one. Missy is 13 now (around 13, she was found in the desert) I know some day it will happen. I have warned hubby I will be a basket case.

Addy, can't imagine finding your beautiful dog in the desert! My mom talked about coyotes taking a yorkie out of her neighbor's yard. They jumped the concrete 4' tall fence from the golf course to get in there and swipe that puppy! The owners were horrified! They had gone into the house for a minute, and the coyotes took it. I'm sure glad your pup has you to care for her, obviously very well since she is 13! That's amazing. Yes, being a basket case when we lose a pet is normal. I don't even want to think about losing a child. That's not supposed to ever happen, though, parents go first .... or so is my hope. :)

Hello
Yes are Dogs become Family our kids and it is very hard when we lose them.

We have Coyotes here also and there are always signs posted have you seen our cat.
We all know what has happened
But people are just Morons they still leave there cats outside threw the night.
We have a people next door that I just disdain for this very reason we tried to be friends and talk to them about it but they are just Morons.
when they leave we feed there dog and give him water over the fence there cat comes over here to eat.
It is just a shame
I would call animal control but me fear is they will take them and kill them instead of the owners.

So we baby them and give them love when the morons are gone

Has anyone seen the news about the cop who bought the homeless man a pair of boots and socks because he didn't have any? Angels still walk among us, largely unrecognized!

Officer Larry De Primo of the NYPD saw a man on the street, barefooted. He went into s store and bought the man a pair of winter boots and heavy socks to go with them. An Arizona woman, a tourist, took a picture, and it has gone viral on the internet. Touching story!!
