How sad and guess that is a reminder to us all not to put our unwanted pet fish into wild bodies of water. I thought for a minute they were going to give them to a koi rescue group. What a waste of some maybe beautiful fish. I understand that the birds need to eat but seems like they could use a cheaper less pet like fish to help the birds get their hunting skills back. How about Tilapia.........aren't they pretty cheap and easy?

A hippy Amish girl sissy? So you were not raised Amish but just the natural life off the land sort of thing. Have you always been vegetarian and were your parents?

Big Lou, Hope your OK now, probally tired as it must be hard on the body. Have a good sleep and you will feel better in the morning! We all get something as we age, for me I get very stiff and sore from arthritis, can be very painful after working hard, and I do the best I can to stay mobile, that's the trick for me, don't stop moving or I might "cease" up! :)

Wow that is a trip, going from an Amish family to a hippy family. Were they into the free love, drugs and rock and roll or just the co-op kind of life of gardening and natural living? I sure wanted to go to Woodstock in 1969 but was prego w/ my first child. Did not want to have her in the mud, lol!

never drugs or free love just liked that they could live healthy and my uncle lived up near there so was more a curiosity to them .I guess after years of elders telling you what you can and can't do you just want to see every thing and us kids were along for the ride .I was not a child then ,so guessing parents just wanted to see everything in life .We were into the healthy life style and the freedom to live as you choose and they never judged any one .I guess because they grew up in such a restricted life style ,they did not want it for there kids .I always told my sons be a leader not a follower and my parents taught me that .My dad always said just because you are a woman does not mean you are weak and told me to be strong in mind and body and never say I can't do any thing I want ,but with limits also .Think first .
