Oh Big Lou, I feel bad for you, stay strong, help Cathy along. I just had a big cry this morning. The bus came and took my hubby away to Calgary for his first set of radiation treatment. I got him a small suitcase, he said that was all he wanted, then he stuffed the suitcase so full, and took two extra fat carry bags. I carried the bags and rolled the suitcase on the new sidewalk I had laid down myself early this summer, just before the sun came. There was a couple other guys in the bus, the one I did see, appeared pale and thin, and he gave me a "faint" smile, then I kissed my hubby, helped him in the bus, waved goodby and had a good cry....

best thing is he may make friends that are going for similar reasons and there should be a support group there for them also .There usually is .My dad in law had cancer and the support group was fantastic .

After hubby left, I moped around the house and layed on the couch to watch TV, then big bad Bear came to squish me and demand I rub his ears, he made me fell like I was not alone. Then I sent hubby texts, and he said drive to Calgary went well, good roads, and I think he made some friends, he says he will tell me later....

making myself a nice candy Cane Coffee.... naturally scented, President's Choice "Limited Edition", from the Superstore, in my "french press" so the flavor is not boiled out!

Tell your wife to be strong " L"! Things will work out for her eventually. You have each other to lean on. Lots of people in the same boat and hope things get better down the road for us all.

Sad for you Colleen and it must be awful quiet around there w/o your hubby. Glad you have your puppy's and your nice job and friends to get you through. With all these modern electronic gadgets we have nowadays its so easy to keep in contact but still not the same as being there in the flesh. Hope he does fine w/ the radiation and it isn't mean to him! Nice he has made friends and can support each other. Enjoy your coffee w/ Poppy and Bear and comfort each other w/ lots of kisses while you wait for the Fridays to arrive. Lots of hugging and puppy jumping and kisses soon to greet John :luxlove:

hope all goes as you wish with cathy's interview l,
hey collen, hope your hubby makes a good recovery. colleen do you noy have abywhere local you can purchase freshly roasted coffee beans, i find with supermarkets the beans tend to sit on the shelf or in the store room too long, they dont realise coffee is a food stuff and goes stale, after roasting they are at their best 3-7 days later and will remain fresh in a airtight container in the fridge or freezer for 14 - 21 days, tastes much better and get a nice crema !

Best source I have is straight from Hawaii and that is there kona coffee and amazing that the taste can change (depending on altitude )and it can go from being very strong to very mild .It all depends on there weather also as more winds bring in more salty air and makes the coffee bean stronger .I learned that from a friend who lived there and grew his own .Since he sold and moved here I do not get his fresh sweeter beans .He was really good at growing it .His family grew it for years and when he inherited it he took over the small coffee fields

We have a roastery here too That makes awesome fresh roastery beans, I have to get down there today, miss the super fresh beans. The other coffee was cheap and I picked it up after work for something different, but nothing beats fresh roastery Kona !
