Finally, I get to post on this thread!
I used to eat Ho Hos and apple pies and absolutely loved them. I can't remember why, but I stopped eating them when I was in my 20's. They do get a lot of bad press, but nutritionally, they're no different from other types of junk we stuff into our bodies.
I liked Ho Hos because of the smell, the crack of the outer chocolate shell when you bit into them and the soft mushy interior. I can still smell those things.
I liked the apple pies because of their flavor. There's nothing quite like it. Can't say they really tasted like apples, just sweetness, lots of sugar and what seemed like candied apple inside. I knew it probably wasn't good for me when I ate one but I was young at the time and pretty much heedless of what I put into my body. I introduced my kids to it once but they didn't like it!
And Wonder bread, ya I had a lot of it. It was actually a step up from the crappy store brand white bread I used to buy.
