Went outside this morning and cleaned out the squirrel proof bird feeder, topped off the pond and scooped out the few leaves in the pond. Certainly was nice sitting on the pond side deck in the morning sun. Sunny (our cat) was fun to watch as she played along the pond and yard. After the bird feeder dries I've got a new bag of feed supposedly mixed for the Southwest ready. Sometimes I'm such a sucker for advertising.

I go though pounds of bird seed, they like the sunflower seeds the best. Lots of cardinals and finches. Feel guilty when the feeders are empty and I don't get them filled right away, darn birds.......they give you the stare and chirp

I have thistle for the finch, but they eat the sunflower seeds, leave the finch food. Go figure. Just bought new bag of sunflower seeds. Wish they would quit dumping it on the ground, then noticed that the wind was blowing the feeder back and forth, and if strong enough, the bottom hit the tree it was attached to, and made it dump some seed. Good thing they know to eat it off the ground, too.

"Jogged" from my barn toward the house to get truck keys, didn't pay attention to where all 3 dogs were, one of them ran behind and tripped me, I went down face first on my rock driveway. OUCH!!! Both knees are very sore., and pinky finger on left hand, but thankfully nothing is broken. Tractor was running, warming up, while I got the truck keys to move truck so could work with tractor. Pretty sure I will be more sore in the a.m., but that's life. I knew better, won't do that again. Live and learn.

The knees are fine this morning, finger, too. Good thing I'm not going to church, though! Have no intention of kneeling anytime soon, which is only time it would hurt. Wasn't the dog's fault, I was being silly with Yukon, forgot the others were behind me until it was too late. They are always trying to get ahead and play, too. I know better than to run anyhow, always careful worrying my knee will "catch", so leery to do anything past a walk on uneven ground. Does this mean I'm getting old or something, cause I sure don't feel old, but I do worry like an old person! At 54, that should not be happening yet, right?!

New TV Show Malibu Country

We eagerly awaited this new Reba McIntyre comedy since we were devoted fans of her earlier comedy hit "Reba". To say Malibu Country's premiere was a dud is kind. Every California and lifestyle cliche in the book were jam packed in the thirty minutes show. Of course Reba was her charming self. The real killer is the script. The script is pure rubbish. Reba herself deserves much better.
