Yes mogsie, they are like that with the rest of the family, and my mom told my sister to quit going in her kitchen cuboards and telling her what to eat too. Mom said she had to throw her out one day and told her not to come over again and criticizeher food. No one can take her non stop lecture about the food. (And my mom eats pretty darn healthy, and my sister also thinks we should not eat the wheat too!! She is on this GMO kick, and says GMO's in the food are causing cancer, and maybe she is right, but I can't do anything about that, cause GMO's (genetically modified foods) are spreading with the wind and with the bees, and I can't control that. If the truth must be known, GMO's are in plants, (not animals ment for food in Canada) and if she really wants to avoid GMO's, it is very hard to do when you eat a plant based diet, and that includes the Organic label too, that's why most organic food lables do not say "GMO" free cause they would have to control the plant pollination, and with the Bee's and the wind, it's pretty much impossible. But I got enough stress, never mind saving the world from GMO's.

on another note.. the BBC (british broadcasting company) sent a 100 strong camera media team over to the us to cover the elections for the news !! i wonder if they will send a 100 strong team to china to cover theirs ????
So, I'm curious, Mogsie, who was the UK hoping to win for our US President? I'm just curious which one was making the biggest promises to foreign countries. LOL

Wayne, I think Obama won the "electoral vote" not so much the "popular vote". His job is not going to be "easy peasy" that is for sure! Boy am I tired, had to run around looking for winter boots for Hubby, had to take the first two back cause he won't come shop. Finally found a pair big enough to cover bandage on foot.

How the snow way up there Wayne, hear you got dumped on?

So far he won the electoral and the popular vote.

We need the idiots to work together, the republicans and democrats.

I don't think either was a good choice.

Between the two 4.2 billion spent on this election and still counting the pennies.

They each cater to the 15% on the far right or left. Leaving the 70% in the middle to choose between the lessor of two evils. *sigh*. Thats why the country is so polarized and the popular vote so close. With about 120 million votes, and a low voter turnout due to apathy and disgust, a win by a sitting President of just 2.2 million votes is nowhere near a mandate and speaks more to the dissatisfaction of the the voters than the desirability of either candidate.

If either party could support a moderate candidate that really represented the middle 70% and the best interests of the country, they would win in a landslide.

Agree with you, Addy. But, then, I hate politics! So glad the campaigning is over and the election is done. Time to move forward, US, and quit bickering. We have 4 more years with Obama, and need to make the best of it! Work together is the key ... think that might happen?????? Probably not, just more bickering. Grrrrr

now i didnt pay much attention to it myself, what i sis see of it on the news (no disrespect) but it appeared like a circus, stevie wonder singing etc, not like a serious political decision process !!, anyways as to what i noticed both in the media and social networking sites it appeared obama had the majority of support in the uk, but that is maybe due to the fact that the majority of the great british public know more about obama and maybe not so much about romney, thats just my opinion !

Hello All,
Cathy has a job interview this coming Tuesday. She is highly qualified for this particular position so our hopes are high. Two hundred and fifty people applied for this one job so being blessed with an interview is a victory in itself. I sincerely ask that you keep Cathy in your thoughts and prayers.
