From Cathy Patrick...........someone going by the name of "Big Lou" has a birthday today! My teddy bear turned 59 today. Thank you all for being so friendly to him. Throughout his life he has experienced so much trauma and now serious illness. I can easily tell your site brings him pleasure. Little pleasures mean so much to so many. Louis tells me about each of you as if you are just down the street. I hope he doesn't get too embarrassed when he reads this post.

Just awoke from a nap for a delicious birthday lunch after which Cathy suggested I check this forum and Facebook. Thank you all for the well wishes. Time now for cake and ice cream! )

Happy Birthday, Big Lou! Tell your lovely wife that was a wonderful thing she did, alerting us of your birthday! Typically we have to blow our own horn to get birthday wishes, which is perfectly fine on here as well. But, you obviously have a wonderful lady there, and she obviously treasures you as well. Hope you have a wonderful day, filled with many birthday memories. And, yes, we are all like neighbors down the road to each other. We share our ponds, and therefore the happy times in our lives, since that is what our ponds give us ... happy times!

no pics of the cake ,at least we could drool over it .we had sunshine and warm temps today but plenty of wind up above 20 c and almost 70 f ,so it did get nice and warm and sunny out but that could end soon with some wind and rain ,but at least not as bad as others will get and hoping it will just move through really fast and leave .

Sandy is pushing the ocean over the sea wall at ocean city. There goes the beach again. We might get 75 mph winds this evening. Storm surge is really concerning people, they are saying up to 11 feet up the bay.
