I've never seen fair ring or fair stones either! Very neat. I had lots of mushrooms coming up in my mulch and yard couple of weeks ago, because of the rains that finally showed up again in my area. Getting 6" in one weekend and then I think another 2 or 3 the following was the key to them popping up. I saw mushrooms I've never seen before, too! Very cool!

These are the ones I had come up few weekends ago in my mulched area where I have the swing.

And, then this one came up on the edge of another mulched bed area, but on the dirt/grass side. It was almost 12" in diameter, about the size of a dinner plate.

And these tiny little ones were up and then an hour later, you would never have known there were there!

Sorry, Sissy, but we spent a few days at Point Pelee on Lake Erie. Tried to get to Pelee island, but the ferry couldn't sail due to high winds, so we spent time at the National Park instead. Nice boardwalk through the marsh, trails through the woods, etc. If I can figure out how to get the pictures onto the computer, I'll post a few!

Cool 'rooms you got there CE. I've had the ones in the last pic before. the first one reminds me of a squid, LOL
I agree it does look like a squid, HBL. I'd never seen one like it, but since I was home that day and weekend, I had time to watch them come up and then die, usually within 2 days and they were gone. So, if you snooze, you lose with mushrooms!

Cool fairy rings! I have heard about them before but never saw any. I got lots of tree mushrooms here around the yard, they say you can eat any mushroom that grows on tree, but they are very tough and like leather. They have to be boiled first good.

I "get" to sit on jury duty tomorrow a.m., first time in my life! I'm 54, have lived in this area since I was 20, and never got the letter to come for jury duty. Always thought it was because I am a legal secretary, work for an attorney. I can see that working for some cases, against others, but we shall see. Probably won't get picked, but it will be fun going through the process, especially since my "real" job pays me for the day off when I have jury duty! Kind of a like getting a $15 bonus. LOL Yep, that's what I get paid to go for JD, $15 plus I guess mileage, so will have to remember to check my mileage from home in the a.m.., make sure they pay me the right amount!

I got called once and that was back in NJ and it was a pain in the butt .Got to sit in a dark poorly lighted basement of the court house in New Brunswick with a bunch of other people and they gave you a card with a number on it and when the number was called you got the big thrill of being herded in to an elevator with a bunch of other people ,Like cows going to slaughter .4 times that day called up and did not get picked once .geeze ,felt like the leper cow . Take a good book to read because it can be boring .Half hour for lunch and bathrooms that I would not let my kids use . .Folding chairs that hurt your butt .No cell phone use allowed ,but you could use there pay phones ,yeh real nice  bored bored bored and more bored that day .No windows dark and bad lighting that flickered and once you were signed in you could not leave except for lunch .They had one small door to out side where people who smoked could sit .Guards down there like we were prisoners .Hope they changed that there because it sucked .
