I agree about the rains coming too late for all of us midwesterners. We have "submarine bridges" here, then, too! I could not believe a floating bridge that you drive over! Yikes, that would be scarey enough to WALK over! In fact, on one of those concrete bridges, where there was a huge pipe to drain the water, until it got high, then it washes over the top, we were riding horses over it, friend's part pit dog decided to get a drink on the "up crick" side, slipped, went right through that pipe! He came swooshing out the other side, and had a heck of a time getting to the side to get out. We all laughed, once we saw he was safe! I can't imagine what would have happened had he gotten stuck in the middle! There would have been a few riders getting off and doing something about it, not sure what, but he was that type of dog, no one wanted to lose. He was an icon to our riding in that area. We actually later had a pup he sired.

We have 72 today, then 74, 76, 70 and 64 for Sat. and Sun. Sunny each and every day, though, so maybe there will be a few hay fields mowed and baled yet! This will only be second cutting for most in my area. Light rain Monday hurt a grass hay field mowed, but it will dry out nicely and be just fine yet!

JW, my buddy in Lynnwood said they need rain, her yard is dried up?

Oh sissy, maybe we will get some fairy rings! They are so cool. there was a big one down the road from me last summer. I couldn't believe the dumb guy mowed it off!

CE, that's funny! Only because the pup didn't get hurt, tho...

Not sure how many cuttings our farmers got. It was so extremely hot and dry for a long time. I'm sure not enough. We have a small corn plot of field corn, and hubby had to water it this summer. Squirrel food! LOL

Psst..sissy or anyone that's interested. If you get on Facebook, so up to search and type in Flea Market Gardening, then go to photos, and check out their albums. I could browse that site forever! The rusty album and the galvanized one is awsome:)

Hi Wendy :) It's when the mushrooms in a field or yard grow in a circle. We always called them fairy rings. Don't see them very often so it's kinda special :)
