Holy cow, JW!!! Good thing you were home getting ready for your camping trip! Yikes, we sure don't want to see your on the news, getting shot by neighbors. Good grief, so many crazy people in this world. Sorry that it's happening so close to your home. Stay inside where it's safe until that idiot is caught ... hopefully killed, as that's what he/she/they deserve!

They say they haven't got him yet. Still have roads blocked off w/ cop cars and armored tanks. I'm staying inside, locking the doors. I just keep watching the news to see if they have got him yet.

Omg!! I scared for you JW!! People are just out of control everywhere these days, don't know what's going on anymore!!
My friend her 19 year old son got mixed up with really bad people in Edmonton, took this drug called bath salts, ended up in hospital overdosing, came back here to Medicine Hat and now he's gone nuts, got a long "rap sheet" and ended up breaking his bail again!!! Freaked out when arrested again, said he was going to kill the police, now he's certifiably "nuts" and he's now in a psychiatric ward in Calgary. He might be permanently psychotic or suffered brain damage or something, we don't know for sure, except that that's "not him" anymore!

It's so very sad what kids will do experimenting with drugs, and of course parents are "stupid", so they never listen to them. Permanent damage happens, and there is no reversing that, unless they can give him drugs to help control his moods. Good luck to him and his family, Colleen. I'm so thankful that I didn't cave in to the experiments that other kids were doing when I was in high school. I wonder to this day if that is why some of them became thiefs and convicts, and I went to a Catholic school! OMG, not that Catholics are safe from drugs, they are NOT, but at least I had smaller classes, and the teachers were maybe more aware of things going on. But, kids can slip through if they are sneaky. It's just very sad.

They got him last evening. If you click on the video in the link below about half way through you can hear the actual scanner conversation of the swat team taking the guy down. This being able to hear this sort of thing on the scanner live is not usually allowed but they think someone had a key to open the channel and so it was made public. The police are not saying whether they are the ones that shot him or not. They were thinking for awhile that there might have been more than one shooter because of the many shots at once fired. I don't know if they have ruled that out yet or not. They were still searching the woods last I heard.

Ha Ha sissy, yep I'd pull out my ear buds and wrestle him to the ground and hog tie him to a tree!
DH overheard one of the fireman outside a grocery store here today saying the guy put up a canopy net outside his front door and was dressed in camouflage clothing and had a scope on his guns and was just trying to pick people off as they drove by. The guy that got shot in the leg lived across the road from the shooter and was just out in his yard walking around. I walked down there today but didn't go in the direction of the house where it happened. Think they still have that part of the road closed off to people that don't live there.

Good thing they got him, it would be scary and hard to sleep if he was still roaming around at large! There is lots of crazy people these days, and CE the drugs you may have encountered back in your day are nothing compared to the stuff out there now. Bath Salts are the worst drug out there right now. I don't know have to paste stuff but if you Google it you will be freated right out. Bath salts turn people into real life zombies who eat people! One guy ate the face off a homeless man and part of his brain and wouldn't stop eating the guy until the police shot him dead, another woman ate her babies toes and brain! That was right here in North America!

So hopefully they got the right guy, and no one else is lurking out there in the woods. Did the cops kill the guy, I hope? IMO, anyone that shoots like that, doesn't deserve to go to prison, he deserves to be shot back at. I hope he was the only one and you are safer now ...
