Ugh !!! Ok. I had a scare last night.

(( quick back story : my farm cats are having kittens and the kittens curiosity tends to get the best of them, getting them into trouble. one time a kitten got stuck, upside down, in some row water irrigation piping and he couldn't get out so the little guy was just mewing like crazy for me to rescue him ... heh, by pulling him out by his tail ... ANYWAYS ))

Since I got my little water feature now, some toads have moved in. Well, I was cooking in the kitchen with the back door and windows open (weather was awesome that evening) and heard this loud freaky noise, almost sounded like it was that kitten mewing. So, I went outside and found the damn toad sitting on rock doing its croaking thing, sitting tall and proud. Man, it was so loud and never heard that noise so close to me like that before.

Heh, it really got me going think'n something was wrong outside. lol little jerk ;) :grumble:

now you know too if you didn't already....."PARTY ON DUDES!"
lol, that picture is awesome man. i learn something new everyday.

So they left sissy and now you have to call them back to see what's wrong again? Darn not fun at all to be w/o water and then think it is fixed and whoops not!

crs poor little kitty, glad you rescued it!

yep and found out it ruined all my filtration system and then about 1:00 this morning I smell something burning and track down the odor well my instate hot water dispenser at my kitchen sick was on fire and plugged the plug and hit it once with the kitchen fire extinquisher and put it out and found it was clogged with dirt .They all sucked the dirt from the storage tank when the well pump failed .So all that have wells be careful when your pump goes out .

my extra rider on my homeowners policy that pays for breakdowns of any major appliance in my house will pay for most of it except for the 250 dollar deductable and I am glad i got it last year and it only cost 60 dollars a year .I have to get all the bills together and figure out all the costs of everything .Never thought one well pump could cause all this damage .Actually king arthur woke me up fussy in the living room and I layed there and was so bone tired I told him to lay back down and thats when I started smelling the smell and got up to check it out .I have to get all the receipts together now for all this stuff and had to go out yesterday to buy water until the well water clears up and i get a new filter system put in .Pond is getting low from evaporation from heat and wind here and had to tell fish to stop drinking so much water .

Dang, bad luck with the well, that's a very scary thing!!! I have a pump in the bottom of my well, too, but my well is only 35' or so. Holding tank is in the house. Glad your King Arthur alerted you to the smoke! Where were your smoke detectors? Sounds like you need to change the batteries on them. Yikes, better safe than sorry.
Good luck with your lotus. Post pics.

I have electric smoke detectors with battery back up but guess there was not enough smoke to set them off as it was more smell than smoke .The smell was more like the smell of plastic that is burning and barely tinged the cabinet .I unscrewed the unit and disconnected the water supply to it and took it outside just in case I would guess it just must have started after i went to bed at 12:30 or at least around then because the guys did not leave until after 11:30 after there return visit when the water went out again .
