Wow, stay safe JW, and any other WA friends! My brother and sister-in-law live in Seattle, but they are on a World Cruise right now, so no worries. Lucky them!!! But, that sounds really dangerous by you with more coming.
My parents were born and raised in Milwaukee, WI area, and my dad made certain that all 6 of us kids learned to drive on snow and ice. I remember one day when I lived at home, only 3 blocks from the office where I worked, I could not get going, ice covered the road. No problem. Dad came out, pushed my little Pontiac Sunbird up onto the middle of the road, where it was crowned a little, and told me to not stop at the stop sign, just slow down, make sure no one was coming and crawl around the corner. I made it to work that day, and was the only one that did, besides one attorney. I don't go out now when there is ice, though. Nothing is that important that requires me to risk my life with the other crazies. If I was the only one on the highway, I would do it in a heartbeat, but everyone else seems to need to go much faster, and it scares me when they pass me. LOL At my age (53), safe is far better than sorry!
