Thanks addy I got confused by there sight .I used my energy reader and it was conflicting info as this does not give amps only how many watts it is using .I'm am stilltrying to figure out how many gph this one really is as the package was damaged and had gotten wet .I e-mail the company to ask what pumps they produced and what gph sized pumps they sell and there was a guy who e-mailed me back ,but the info he gave me did not match what info I asked for .I guess he misunderstood me or something .He wanted to send me a new pump to replace this one and not sure thats what he is going to do or not .The page you go on there sight ask first for your name adrress and info ,like standard type form and at the end just ask you what your comments are .It was a confusing form .The one I have uses the same watt's as a small watt bulb .I have to find the paper where I wrote it down on .

I went out and checked in our lotus pond, have a bubbler keeping a small hole in the ice (we hit 12 last night) and I saw rosey red minnows (three) swimming around. Guess they can and do survive the cold water. I had thought the heron had snagged the few fish that were in that pond.

They keep saying we are going to get a real dumping...........more than we've had since the 80's. I think they just say this stuff so we will all tune into the weather report for ratings. I'll let ya know if it comes true. One year in the late 90's we got a dumping that came so fast and heavy that where we lived at the time had apts across the street and all the carports came down like domino's. Looked like a bomb had gone off in a war zone! When it comes fast and furious like that I have to run around the yard w/ my broom and smack trees and bushes like crazy or they'll be broken and deformed from the heaviness! Ask and ye shall receive.............well I asked for it didn't I?

Well, our little bit of snow is gone. Today it got up to the 60's!!! Unbelievable for Jan. 16. Tomorrow supposed to cool off, then only about 30 on Wed., chance of snow, but the warm temps melted all the ice on my pond. Woohoo!!! That bubbler sure warmed up the water faster, I believe. I know the ice would still be there otherwise as it's really hard to melt thick ice. This weekend supposed to be mid 60's again. Is this called global warming? Yikes, I live in IL because I like all the seasons, and so far as have not seen winter. But, still a couple of months to go and I'm sure I won't be disappointed!

We are heading back up to hotter than normal, warm front coming, then back down, then back up mid 50's by monday. We are going to be hurting for moisture if this keeps going, minimal rain, no snow, dry.

Holy cow! I woke up at 3:30 a.m. to horizontal rain pounding at my west windows! Just ran outside in BARE FEET (when does that happen in January ...) and checked rain gauge ... 2.5"! Now, it's possible there was some rain in there from a previous rain, but I usually check it everytime it rains. My snow fence is still standing, so it held up to the winds. When I checked temp at 3:30, it was still 56! It is dropping, now down to 53.
Mogsie, I have been noticing a VERY bright planet in the southwestern sky early evenings, and wondering which one it is. You are saying there are 4 plants that are visible?! Oh, how I wish I had my son's telescope. I need to tell him to bring it over here so I can set it up and try to figure out how to use it. Can you tell me which one I am seeing then, and which other ones are visible and where to look for them? Of course, tonight it will be cloudy, but they are promising sunshine tomorrow.
