I didn't know that they ate plants or was it just testing it out?
I get that totally! I was squealing like a little kid this morning when I first saw it! But they have to move out of the parents range, no competing with the ones that raised youYes, it will be sad, but maybe there's a chance that he/she will nest close to you in the future. I would live in a shack if I could witness this in my yard!
Beats me! I was NOT expecting that! But being as this is a good year for hyacinths I was okay with it taking one off. Maybe one day it will realize that frogs live out there too.I didn't know that they ate plants or was it just testing it out?
Never seen one of those. i did see i had a green night heron hanging around but the only picture i got was horrid. In the middle of the night, I woke up and turned on the back yard light to see ... a yellow crowned night heron checking for stray frogs. All the fish are fine!
I get them now and then. They like to walk the edge.Never seen one of those. i did see i had a green night heron hanging around but the only picture i got was horrid.
Yes, LOTS. Sometimes right in the front yard.@j.w Do you have elk In your area?
Also black bears, cougars, coyotes, you name it! The bears will plop down in our driveway in the Fall and munch on all the pears and apples that drop from the fruit trees at night. Very cute!@j.w Do you have elk In your area?
