Thankfully, they haven’t visited my pond, but these swallow tailed kites have been hanging out behind my house this summer, and finally cooperated so I could get some pics. They eat mostly flying insects, but this one caught a frog.

I think these are Coal Skinks. Pretty sure they're married from what I saw.

Skinks are cool. The ones in CA have blue tails. I have seen quite a few running thru my yard.

Not my picture but for the look. They will bite hard if you catch them but it doesn't hurt.
