Thankfully, they haven’t visited my pond, but these swallow tailed kites have been hanging out behind my house this summer, and finally cooperated so I could get some pics. They eat mostly flying insects, but this one caught a frog.

I think these are Coal Skinks. Pretty sure they're married from what I saw.

My guess would be 5 lined skinks. Mr. is on the right, Mrs. on the left.

They do get a little wild this time of year.

Skinks are cool. The ones in CA have blue tails. I have seen quite a few running thru my yard.

Not my picture but for the look. They will bite hard if you catch them but it doesn't hurt.

Lots of Pine Siskins around lately, as well as the ever present Goldfinches.

And yesterday Mrs. J sat & posed for pictures! Normally our bullfrogs are super shy & hide the minute they know they've been seen.
