You were out by your pond in just a shirt? I thought you were in Canada! lol... It is amazing how the weather can change in different parts of the country, Strange weather here in Toronto this year. They say we lost up to 20% of the tree canopy was lost here.
Event Horizon... Tomorrow it is supposed to get to plus 10 celsius, somewhere in the 50's Fahrenheit!! So you lost lots of the tree tops! Was that because of the ice Storm?
Ice almost all gone from ponds, just a bit more ice on the Bottom pond left to go, hoping it will melt tomorrow.
Here at work I sit, drinking a coffee, have to work all morning,... The story of my life!
Yes the ice storm hit pretty hard here. We were lucky as our pine and spruce trees lost nothing. We were only in the dark for 2 days so that wasn't too bad either. We have a gas fireplace and a gas water heater, so it was not bad for us at all. Send some warm temps our way please.
Things are warming up fast now, Lethbridge has warmed up to plus 11C and we are warming up to plus 5C (42F) now as I type, the sun is shining so bright, and it is a beautiful day!
I have some new video I am downloading right now of my pond, and it is showing signs of spring here!
stay Tuned... Spring Pond Video Live from Today, comming today in a short little while.....
I tried a laguna 3600 gph and it did not have enough head to fill 2 filters .The reason I like laguna is the warranty and from webbs online they add an extra year and that the use less watts ..But I got 2 defective ones and guessing that would be my luck .Laguna did tell me that even the 4200 gph would not have enough head for my pond after I sent them the requested pics of the pond and the filter .I thought those things colleen say only up to a 2000 gph pump
Sissy, you hook two of those filters together and then you have very powerful filter that will handle a big 4500 GPH pondmaster pump with no problems. These filters are hard and ridged, they do not collapse and work very very well. I have used Laguna 3500 GPH Pumps to just one filter for years and it did fine all winter too. These filters are very tough and strong, way better than any other pre pump filter I have ever used.
it's so cute how they rush to him and keep him nice and warm. He has been working so hard and worked the last three weekends too, so nice to have him home!
I can't believe how cold this winter is, right now it is -27c or -17f. Wind is howling like crazy, wind chill values down to minus 40 and spring is less than three weeks away....
