What do you do with all the kids? Or does the tank just balance out? My ciclids bred like crazy, as they grew some of the adults passed on, it was a nice balance. Loved that tank until the heater cooked them all one day

Finally got a chance to have a look at your videos Colleen. My memories of Medicine Hat are that it was hot, dry and boring, but you have made a great little oasis there!
We sometimes used to stop there on our way to Maple Creek to see my grandparents.
I tried making a video of myself out hiking with the dogs in the forest but I was so out of breath you wouldn't have been able to hear me, lol. The snow was up past my knees and the dogs were "porpoising". Man, they have a lot of energy.

The guppies do not generally have a long life as they are live bearing, (give birth to live babies not eggs) and there is a group of fat neon Tetras that like to eat the odd baby guppie. It all works out, they do seem to find a natural balance, that is why I love guppies.
I also have many little snails that keep the glass of the tank very clean and I never find a "expired" guppy either!

Mitch, maybe in the summer you can do a little home video, would love to see the view from your outlook and it is easier to see what is happening in the pond when you have a video! Now that I have discovered U tube I will be VERY busy this summer producing home videos of my yard and pond so all of you can come walk with me in my garden!

I took a video of me out with the dogs a couple of years ago when they found a deer skeleton and were dragging it around.lol
I showed it to our staff at the time and they were a little bit put off. The dogs were having fun.
Not exactly pond related, lol.
I haven't tried Youtube yet.
Sure is helpful though seeing a live version with sound of what we can only see with still pictures here.

just one caution colleen watch out for people who post on your video as they can send you a virus .My son did one from my old puter an Xp and got a virus that killed it .No biggy since it was an old puter

I have wireless and my new computer is all up to date on virus protection, but that does not mean that I am completely safe, oh well, what can I do, I am officially addicted to posting my homemade videos, kind of like sex, it is fun till you get a virus!! Ha ha ha

You cracked me up good on that last sentence there Colleen! I read your posts and then I watch and listen to your video's and I am not sure that is really you on the video's talking. You sound so sweet and reserved,prim and proper on the vids and then you type and all Hell breaks loose

he he he! I still have Zero points so everything all good! ha Ha Ha! I am not all prim a proper and I laugh like CrAzY at Work! I worked like crazy tonight till after 10pm, then I shopped cause the store was open to 12 pm tonight, and went home and relaxed in my happy Christmas room!

Now I am so darn tired and it is after 2am right now, I need to catch some zzzz, but Christmas has got me so excited and an have so much to wrap an do, and I get three days off in a row.... 25th, 26th, and 27th, so I have to squeeze one more shopping day in there some where.....

It's warming up nicely and ice is melting. Maybe the worst is over and Spring is coming Colleen. Wouldn't that be a nice dream come true :blueflower:
