Oh JW spring arrives according to calendar, March 21st, and I plant the pansies around that time as they are good to minus 10c, that's like 16f or something. Then I plant the rest on may long weekend, any sooner and you risk frost. Although we have planted many times May 1st and were fine, and then some years we have had frost AFTER the long weekend! I usually see how things look in first week of May.

In my pond, by May first the yellow flags are usually quite large. Marsh marigold has bloomed in March many years! Marsh marigold very very hardy, likes to freeze solid, pick off an inch or more of ice in February and you will find green leaves!

Well that's when our Spring is supposed to arrive too but here it just brings more rain. And first part of Summer can be the same all the way into July and this year was the worst I remember raining all the way till August most of the time.

I have a digital meter and have been looking into the solair wind sun turbine that I saw on the DIY network This New House with Amy Matthews .I want to see one in action first .But it is great no batteries and there is an automatic switch box installed where if there is not enough electric it goes on grid .But not sure it would be worth the 3 thousand dollars in this area or not .People do not understand that stuff here .I like the fact there is no real up keep and uses sun and wind and they do a study before they install to make sure it will work in your area .I have only found one person who has it and they are in West Virginia

I have an add-on for my facebook browser where I can rt click on a website page and there is a choice to choose desk cut and it will then add the shortcut icon there where I can easily access it on my desktop when needed. For your tablet computer I don't know what they offer that might do the same thing. You could look through the apps and see if they offer a metric conversion one for free

Thanks JW, but this tablet is difficult figure things out, won't worry about that now, have to hang more Christmas lights tonight on the trees. Got the pond lit up nice for Christmas.

These days it's always run and chase the Sun. Todays sunset was at 4:21pm in the afternoon. Yes that's right, sun sets around here in the late afternoon now. The days is so short here now, go to work, sun not up, rush home, sun going down. Happens so quick theses days and the sun is at a very low angle here in the frozen North. Still made it to the river park as usual with the Puppies today.

That's just dog gone CrAZy! 80 degree temps! I would have to have my head under the bed for that!! CraZy amount of tangled lights everywhere! She even out them lights up over the old car me and Bear sit on!! MoM needs HeLp!

I got this Tiramisu bar cake, for my hubby of course, it's so soft and creamy, the first ingredient is cream, and it has coffee liqueur. My hubby loves it and it cools the inside of his mouth, poor guy, that radiation is burning his month and lips and it makes him feel better. He hardly eats much right now and is getting pretty darn skinny so if he can eat something, that is good. At least it will be over soon, I think he has like 8 treatment days left, broke up over the holidays, so he will have a break.
