If you have room to hang plants out there in the porch room the green will really stand out and the plants will love the brightness :glassesy:

Yes that would look really good, I could take a plant out of the greenhouse or I could get a Christmas catus, had one many years ago and but it got bugs (spiter mites) and I chucked it. Would like to try it again, room is small, so I can only fit a hanging plant, tired of the cludder.

Yep and then you'd have nice blooms from it each year. Did you know you can take two of those Christmas cactus blooms and rub the pollens together and you will get fruit and blooms. At first the fruits are small and green (one-half inch, or so, by June), but by Christmastime they are red. I've never tried it myself but I've heard about it being done.

JW, Cool plant facts, will have to try that. I am going to look for one soon, can you eat the fruit?

LOOK!!!! I just can't stant it!!! It turned out soooo nice, the deep yellow sunrise walls, contrasting the wood grain floor, brown and yellow, who knew??? the colors are warm, bright and conforting. Sometimes you just got to try it and see. :) :) :)

John's doing fine, little red the new patch on face from radiation, and I think he is very amused at my new "do it yourself" projects!

John was sort of nervous about the yellow at first, till I finished the floor, now he just loves it! I plan to tackle the cupboards with fresh paint. I was going to replace them but the way I slam the cupboards when mad, the new ones just would not hold up. These old cuobards are solid wood, just going to paint, get new counter, and fix where needed. I plan on during most myself if I can, after Christmas, cause anything will be better than what I got! Saving money by doing it myself! :) life is good, hubby happy and that makes me happy!

I might as well clear the air...... The purple haze I experienced is the beer that Abita Brewing makes. I like their turbo dog too. http://abita.com/bre...ews/purple-haze It seems like every week I try a new micro brew beer and then there are 10 more that I never heard of before!

until you have been to a British real ale festival you dont know the meaning of Beer or micro brewery lol

They had some cool dark British beer and were giving test samples away yesterday at the beer store. It looked real good, nice color, too bad I don't drink beer! My hubby would have loved testing the samples but he was at home, waiting for me to get home with his box of beer.

OK here is the latest "yellow" porch room update, got some plants out of my back yard green house and nice hanging wood boxes that match the floor, and look how nice it is now!!!

Looks like you were on the real ale for one of those shelves lol , I must admit though Yellow does seem to work lol.
Buy your Hubby some British real ale for Xmas and try it for yourself too .
Next thing you know you'll be a member of the Campaign for real ale movement in the UK and attending beer festivals here in the UK lol

Thanks guys! Dave you spotted my bottle of British Botanically brewed Ginger Beer! They had a shop up at the mall last Christmas that sold British sweets and stuff, that is where I got that from.

My house is old, so painting a bright color was not risky, cause anything was better than than Egg shell" white! Going to paint more soon, the old kitchen needs a work over!

Last year they remodeled the store where I work, They tore out the old floor, then replaced the new tile.... with the exact same kind of boring white tile they used to have have! Who does that??? We all laughed hard at the bakery, like we "women" would go through all that work only to make it look the same! Ha ha ha!

This evening as the sun was going down, the coyotes were howling just across the frozen South Saskatchewan river. The geese were flying back from the farmers grain fields. They winter down at the open areas of the river, downstream from the Power House, where the water is warmed by the city's large natural gas powered electric plant.
