I swear the dust bunnies must follow the puppies around and run and hide under the fridge from the broom!! Have YOU Looked BeHiND YouR Fridge Lately??? Ha ha ha!

The floor I got is different than most click fit, it is fine to get wet cause it is "laminate" and made just for kitchen and bathroom, not the usual stuff that was cheaper and swells when wet, and is supposed to last 25 years. It also has a "textured" wood grain to it so it's hard to slip. But I know the stuff your talking about Sissy, my friend had that in her basement and it got wet and was ruined after that, so I made sure to not get that type.... floor here has to take a "beating" cause puppies come in with snow and wet feet, and I have been known to drag hoses inside to top off pond, then I usually overflow the sink once every few years..... :)

I played it smart where my fridge stove and dishwasher and wine cooler are there is a central vacuum vent there and all i have to do is turn a switch and it sucks all the stuff to the unit in the basement .You should have seen the faces of the guys installing it when i came up with that idea and now they offer it to there customers .I have one under the beds and the sofa also .My idea came from years of pulling them out to clean under them .You should have seen pee wee's face one day when it sucked his cookie in that he dropped when he heard the noise .I forgot he did not see it in action until then .Since the unit is in the basement all you here is a woosh and a small click from the vent opening .Had to give him another cookie  poor little guy .

That's a very good idea Sissy, but poor Pee Wee! I don't have central vac, don't have any carpets anymore except in one very small room, and then I am taking that out too some day. I hate carpets, cause they collect too much dust and I get allergies from all the built up dust.
I only have washable rugs on the floor for puppies to lay on. Plus my house is quite small and the bad puppies can drag in lots of dirt so need to be able to wash floor up nice after their paws track in mud and dirt when it is wet or rains. Then I am the "dishwasher"! :)

I don't have carpets but wanted the automatic dustpans so i can just wipe the dirt up to them and it gets sucked in .Plus have outside out let for the trucks .Comes in handy .I could never understand some peoples love of wall to wall .All i have is large rugs on either side of the beds .Plus all that nasty off gassing they do .I tried to keep out as many VOC's in my house that I could .But hard to do these days .

I just tried to think of everything for my retirement house to make life easier on me .I wanted less work not more .I guess I should have thought more about buying 3 acres and guessing if it had not been cleared of trees i would not have had as much to do .I just looked at the views and i was sold .

I love color, and I want lots of eye popping color! Wait till it is done... I got a dark blue paint too, going to sneak it in there somewhere...

Going to work on the rest tomorrow, had to work late this evening at work, I pulled lots of expired bread off the self and reduced it. Seems like people love to buy reduced bread, nobody hardly wants to pay full price anymore. Cheapest bread at our bakery goes for $1.50 a loaf, most expense in the $5 to 6 dollar range. Bread is not cheap anymore. I remember when it was around 75 cents 10 years ago!

Colleen what you said about the cost of bread reminds me of a Christian movie I saw way back in the late 60 or 70's about the end of times and the Rapture. Movie was called "A Thief in the Night"

Here's the movie if anyone is interested:

I saw that movie long time ago, when I was young, and will have to watch again in the big TV.

Painted the back porch all yellow, it's so bright I got to wear glasses during the day! Ha ha. It works perfect, its so bright you are "blinded" when the sun shines in, the lighting hides the old worn wood edges. The wood looking floor will continue into the porch, but first I need to put another coat of paint again tomorrow.
