Looks good ..... Your bog is going to be 20 feet long ?
I think it’s 13 feet long finally getting some rock in there. I’ve been driving back and fourth to the local quarry. I should probably just bite the bullet and get it delivered.

Little edging today, you won’t see anything when I’m done planting, adding stone and wood chips etc. at least that’s the plan!

I love that you turn the stream toward the bottom . It's hard to tell if toy are going to have the falls coming down turn so one you see head on the next your looking from the side.of the falls . This is what separates mother nature from man made

All the rock done by hand. Loading at the quarry unloading at home. Not the smartest way of doing this. Hopefully will be able to get all the small stuff for the top layer delivered! I may put an artificial putting green to the left of the bog next year, not sure yet.

Bog is full. Will top off with and inch or two of eau claire aggregate for the looks.

Make the outflow to the bog lower than you think it needs to be, and make the sides all around the bog taller than you think they need to be. As the plants and roots grow they act as dams and raise the water level on all sides of the bog. (I know this since my bogs have overflowed on the back and sides too many times, and it recurs as the plants and roots grow and the gravel raises) Since your liner is what it is, maybe lower the gravel by removing some so there is more buffer for water to build up and not over flow.

Thanks!! I actually have enough liner tucked in that I can easily raise another 6” at minimum. I’ll keep a close eye on it after I plant it out in the spring.

If you do have that much or even more i would make the waterfall taller and have more water bouncing off rocks on the way down. But as mentioned the plants and their roots will cause the water to rise and even block the water fall it's imperative to make the opening of the falls much larger than needed so especially this time of year the plants when they droop it's harder for the plant to block and raise the water level which can also cause the pond to empty out.
