@JBtheExplorer yep that trick works well for pretty much any seeds. I used to do it for corn seeds every year when I had a veggie garden. Some seeds are so small and delicate tho that it's hard to manage them. Tweezers might help.

Yes, I'm really amazed by this. It usually takes nearly 2 weeks before milkweed seeds start growing and by using the wet paper towel technique, it took two days! I started them on Wednesday and some are already starting to pop out of the shell!

Sure enough.
Saw these prints about 100 yards down our driveway today.
The size looks like it was an adult cougar.
That's the end of off the leash dog walks for a while.

I ran into a coyote the other day in the tree farm and for few seconds he stood and stared at me licking his lips so I took off my back pack and started swinging it around in circles above my head and all around. He zoomed off away from the crazy thing,lol!

They will usually run from people, maybe you just looked too tasty!

I wonder if they get enough to eat around here as there are not very many rabbits anymore and people are protecting there pets and chickens more. Must be something they can catch or I would think they would head for the wild hills around here.
