Medicine Hat currently reporting in at 12 Fahrenheit. Enough if this cold, I turned the heater of after several days of no heater. Just getting colder by the minute I think! Tonight going down to a low of 5 Fahrenheit (minus 15c) . Will leave heater on for tonight. Tomorrow should warm up to 28 Fahrenheit so that will be like nice if the sun shines too! :)

I'm gonna try and pull a Colleen and keep my pond going all winter. So far the pond has ice on 1/4 of it and we have had some cold nights here getting down to the very low teens. I put in a bigger pump a few weeks ago. The water is about 2 feet deep where my skimmer box is. Where the ice is covering, that's over the deepest part of the pond so that's a good thing. If Colleen can do this, I should be able too no problem. I don't plan on running a heater. It will be interesting.

Hey capewind, I looked at the wisteria at our petsmart, and it is $3 for a bunch that is about 8" tall. And I'm pretty sure there are more than 3 stalks to a bunch. Your petsmart has inflation. I could send you some from down here, cheaper even with postage. If it doesn't freeze in transit that is.

Nice monkey flower capewind! I have that stuff in the pond, it comes back every year in the marsh nice!

Got a new little 10 gallon fish tank for the millions of guppies I have, transferred them out of the very old other tank tonight! I took a piece of very very cold Hornwort from the frozen pond tonight and warmed it up and put it in the new tank with the millions of guppies....

Dearest John, NO guppies were injured during this process, every last guppy was saved... Honey, I counted and used a magnifying glass my sweet pea! You Can Trust ME, Ha Ha hA... that's what I will tell him when he come's home!

OK, bubbles in little new guppy tank all gone, nicer picture now. My sweet John and his little guppys will be happy, last old tank was pretty crappy. Nice new tank, canopy, filter and pump, was pretty cheap at 47 dollars. The old one will go in the garbage. :)

One guppy and one guppy makes two guppies...................after that look out cuz they will take over your whole house

When I had them I finally tried to separate the males from the females so they could grow old and then go live in peace in Heaven eventually. Was hard to tell the baby males from the females and they start to reproduce so fast. Finally no more guppies

They are cute and fun to watch and glad they got a nice new home for the holidays. John will be happy for them

Sissy like I said... Millions! Ha ha ha!) AND I saved them ALL too! He he he... They just never stop having babies! JW I can't believe you tried to seperate them, that would be an forever ongoing project... I just give them the one ten gallon and let them have at it! It looks nice when there is lots of guppies, and there sure is lots! I do also have guppies in another bigger tank with an very very old Up Side Down Catfish that I got way Way back in 1991! Don't know how long there are supposed to live for, but there must be something in the water cause he's still alive and swimming! Very hard to get picture of him cause he hides lots under the rocks and plants. Will try to get picture of him.

The ten gallon tank lots better today, bubbles all gone and the frozen hornwort I threw in Yesterday is growing already quite nice under the incandescent lights. You can see in today's picture it is spreading out and not so tight together.
