Just slip them some radium and instant glow fish!

Saw a show on tv yesterday that told a story about a group of female factory workers who in the early 1920's contracted radiation poisoning from painting luminous watch and clock dials w/radium paint. They used to stick the end of the paint brush in their mouths to make a tighter point. The brushes had the paint on them and they died from the poison after a long agonizing death. Showed in the tv show where they would paint their teeth, lips and faces for fun w/ the stuff and go out on the town and it would all glow like it was under a black light.
This was not the show I saw on tv it's just a youtube video that shows how they worked w/ the radium.

That true, I saw that too! Today you can buy little "painted" tetra fish that are actually injected with a glowing color but they don't live too long either.... they sell these Painted Tetra fish at pet stores. I both them once when I did not know that they were injected with color back then.

The guppies I have originated from a "couple fish" many many, MANY YEARS ago!

Ran around in T-shirt and shorts! Was a nice sunny warm 34f today! The sun really don't seem to come up to high over the horizon these days, it's so low it shines right in my eyes! I swear the sun was rolling down the road! My shadow has grown to 50 feet! Ponds have lots of ice on bottom and middle pond. Water continues to flow down from top to bottom pond very nice even under the ice!

That last one looks like God's shadow if I ever were to see it and I think you have hypothermia and it's beginning to effect your brain running around in shorts and T-shirt and sandals today in that cold freeze up North you are having

I don't get cold too often unless I am tired. Think I got "tiger blood" sometimes! Ha ha ha. If the sun is shining and it's above freezing, them I can run outside in shorts... wait till it gets down to minus 40 for a long spell, then when it warms up to 30f ... I "ll be getting the" Pool" out! Ha ha ha

Just look at this mess of Christmas Lights! I string lots of them from the trees. I got more in the back yard too! I just about got them all up!

Yes shoes suck big time! I love to run around in sandles and let the feet breath. They like to try to make us wear steel toes shoes at work and they squish my toes, especially if you have to bend down and stock shelves in them. I quit wearing them at work, even though we are supposed to. I

We have to wear steel toe boots at work. I went above that and got the one that have the steel plate going up the top of the foot. We work with heavy plate steel that can weigh 300 lbs each. I want as much protection as possible.

wore steel toe work boots for more years than i care to remember and was really hard finding a 5 1/2 size boot and sure don't want car parts falling on sneakers which some guys wore but good gosh are you really willing to loose your workers comp for not having the proper work clothes and boots .

I have the steel toe shoes and wear them if I have to move a pallet. We keep them down in the bakery with us now in a box, and I wear them when I need too. Steel toes cause lots of problems for some people who have to bend way down and stock the bottom shelf on their toes. The pressure of the toes being slamed into a hard wall cause many problems, as most of us have found out, hence the big blue box for our steel toes. If you are not bending way down, putting constant pressure on toes, for hours on end, then it is not to much trouble. I would love to be able to wear my "toes shoes" to stock the shelves, and if your toes are not going to be hit by anything but bread, then why torture them?

My other friend who works in a green house, her toes nails are falling off from wearing steal toes shoes and now she is mad. For me the big toes gets sore from the steal toes. Does not matter what type or size you wear, the pressure from balancing on your toes all day while bending down stocking the shelf, kills the poor little toes.
