The ice that was on bottom pond is now all gone. Raising The water level to the level of The ice melts it very quick. Circulating water makes it melt even quicker when water level raised to above the ice. The. Only ice left is the ice thatwas stuck above the water along the edges.

All I could find that was w/o a hole in it was the silver smaller one. I like it but wish I too could find larger ones w/o holes in them. Think this one of mine is only about 6" and cost about $20. You have to look at the Q & A section on Amazon before you buy cuz for sure you will end up w/one w/a hole if you don't and I even sent a question to a seller once asking if there was a hole in the ball and they said no and sure enough when it came there was a little hole w/a rubber plug in it! Sent that one right back to them.

Yep and it will be hard to find one that does not have a hole. Maybe Colleen will find one. Maybe it could be filled but what if that is the spot that always wants to show itself out of the water. Guess if it's spinning you wouldn't notice it. If you were a stainless welder and it's made out of steel you could plug it sand it and paint the spot the same color.

I will start looking around. Going to ask my friend Rob (our local Koi guy) at our local pet store (Animal World) cause he sometimes gets them when I see him. Have to get him to look at one of my pumps. He fixes pumps for me so I usually just pay for the parts.

So early this morning at about 1am I had to drive my sweet hubby to Calgary for "day surgery" on his mouth. About 5 years ago he had mourh cancer (From chewing tobacco for 40 years) and when they rebuilt his mouth back then, they put some metal pin in his mouth to hold the "bone from his leg and foot" that was placed on the roof of his newly created mouth, healed. While it was finally time for that "pin" to come out as it was just there to hold the newly created upper mouth in place until the (foot and leg) bone grew strong. So I drove the hubby to Calgary late last night and we drove thew very thick fog all the way up to Calgary. I was driving with my eyes wide open straining to see thew that thick dense fog, good thing hardly anybody was on the road cause it was so hard to see where I was going. Saw a big grey frosty coyote or maybe it was a wolf standing on the side of the road and a few all white Jack Rabbits too.
So everything went well at Calgary and no sign of any cancer at all. I am thankful for that and happy to be back home. I was so tired cause I worked a long hard day yesterday, then tried to sleep after work but was too anxious and worried. Slept in the back seat of the car this morning while hubby had surgery at 6 am. Back seat of my little car was actually pretty comfortable with my pillows and legs curled up. I was so tired. Never slept in the back seat of car before but I can pretty much curl myself up into a ball and sleep anywhere when I'm very tired. Good thing my little KIA Rio has blacked out windows in back or I would have had hard time cause I can't sleep if people can peek in.
Five years ago I slept in the back of my blazer while hubby had big surgery. I swear I can just about sleep anywhere. I could have got hotel back then but I was not leaving hospital just in case anything went wrong...
So that's now over and all is well. :)
