My pond runs all winter, zone 2/3

Alas all our beautiful snow is melting away! So now lets bring on the sunshine! If I get some I'll send it your way after I have sucked it up a bit

I have been looking at the long term weather and it looks like by middle of march might be nice and snow should be gone hopefully by then. I wish it was warm enough to get into ponds out back and clean filters and take cold frames down but still too cold so for another week or two the cold frames going to stay up... :{

WOW!! Strange weather all over planet these days! Poor trees and plants!

I am worried about my fruit trees .This morning it was in the 30's and now in the 60's

Tomorrow I plan to do new video and try to explain to everybody how and why my ponds work so well during the winter. I know it may have been a long hard winter for lots of people with KOI, but it can be down as this is now actually my 27th year wintering my ponds so I think I should share my knowledge so others can benefit.

Are these metal balls sold as gazing balls for the garden? I saw them at Target a couple years ago.

no the gazing balls have openings in them .I have 3 gazing balls .This is my green one .My blue ones they have a base in them to sit on or in a holder and are made of glass

I was lucky and found all my beautiful stainless steel balls from garden centers and pet stores. I have been collecting them since the early 1990s and they are still outside looking fabulous with no rust at all!
Today by the ponds...
