Totally agree with you, CometKeith! My ND daughter told me 4 years ago, when her twins were born in Feb and my son’s first was born in IN, that I needed to spend 6 months in ND and 6 months in IN when I retired. I said, “I don’t think you would want me to live with you for 6 months!” She replied, “No no NO! You buy a house in ND and another one in IN!”
Geesh … I guess kids these days think their parents are made of money.
And now our ND daughter and her husband have sold their house in ND, but last I heard, they didn’t have a house to move to. She now says they have a contract on a house, but not disclosing where or even what state until they sign papers. All I’ve been told is it could be ND, MT, UT, or IL. I’m going to guess they move back to IL where her dad lives. He’s the only practical place for them to go with their 4 horses and 2 dogs. Her dad and grandpa also farm, and that’s the area where our kids grew up so … However, if they buy a house out west, it will have land for the animals so ….
