no, no, no, no; that's NOT how it's supposed to go. It's 'one fish two fish, three fish four; wife says she'll divorce me if I buy any more'.lol wellllllllllllllll more koi.=.bigger pond = more koi.................
That's what happened to my Sanke, aside from two spots on one side, she lost all her beni and is on her way to become a Shiro Beccowas worried it might lose some beni (my first one from them had done so)
Done that, it's not helping!Build a bigger pond!
I did too! These stories of buying more fish when we tell ourselves we don't have the room make me laugh. I almost did the same thing a couple of years back. I finally made myself stop looking at the sites. That was the only way. I have no self-control.
@cas , but, but, that would mean I'm...I'm, I'm BORING! wouldn't it? I mean, we ALL have our lil traps and hazards, right? Can't a guy feel addicted without so much scrutiny???? Geez! These stories of buying more fish when we tell ourselves we don't have the room make me laugh. I almost did the same thing a couple of years back. I finally made myself stop looking at the sites. That was the only way. I have no self-control.
oooohhhhhhh, you KNOW you wanna, @addy1 , you just KNOW you wanna!!!!!!!!! AND for the health and well being of all those here you moderate, you OWE it to us to come join our dementia and facilitate the disease! I mean, misery loves company, no? (why do I get the feeling you have me on 'ignore' at the moment???? )lol I could have a lot of koi................my goldfish breeding freely, barely fill a tiny part of the pond. I might go to the fishery and get some more shubies, if they have survived this covid stuff. Might not, might not.
lol the main issue is zero way to keep the pond fish and the hatchery fish apart. They do have beautiful fish and a ton of different koi! Most of my shubbies are from them. And they are not open until May!oooohhhhhhh, you KNOW you wanna, @addy1 , you just KNOW you wanna!!!!!!!!! you could always mrsclem them; I did this season and have my fingers crossed! I like my lilies too!lol the main issue is zero way to keep the pond fish and the hatchery fish apart. If I get fish it will be only shubbies, I like my lilies too much refuse to have lily munching fish in the pond.
nah you forgot I am a casual, lazy ponder. They do great in oil pans with no protection! Minimal to no care pond and fish. Koi are very pretty, but so are shubbies and a lot less worry about them. Non fussy koi lolyou could always mrsclem them; I did this season and have my fingers crossed! I like my lilies too!
okay then, @cas , here's pics of the 4 I just got Friday. 2 sankes, a doitsu aka bekko, and a kujaku. Already named them; Mickey, Minnie, Chester, and Jacktoo.@brokensword , oh no. I want you guys to keep buying the koi. And posting about them. I'm satisfying my buying urges through all of you!
