Around here most schools are preparing to start up. Some districts are starting the year virtually for the first few weeks. Parents have an option to select virtual learning, but most people I know are sending their kids to school for in person learning.

The pre-school I retired from is opening up, as well as other area pre-schools. These are young children who are exempt from the mask requirements , staff however must wear them.

It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds as schools shut down so quickly last Spring. I am really hoping everything goes smoothly.

We shut down in March without a single case in our school community - still haven’t had a single confirmed case. That’s 3000 students, 400 staff, all their families... not a one.

I hope this is the case as schools reopen, now that the virus is more wide spread. I think everyone would be happy and relieved to see students and staff remain virus free as schools reopen.

The case when schools reopen will be this: an increase in cases. In my county, 1 in 85 people are infected. My school has over 1000 students. There is no way that students and staff won't cause an increase in cases.

No doubt about it. Just like happened when millions decided to protest, riot and loot. But maybe we should all remember the goal was to flatten the curve, not eradicate the virus. Personally I'd rather see the virus spreading because people are working, going to school, and being productive, rather than smashing windows, burning buildings, and destroying public property.

Here's an article from Harvard on immune system boosting. I'd give it a read. https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/how-to-boost-your-immune-system
Harvard and Yale have become the Smartest dumb asses i have ever seen. Don't let the name or the prestige fool you .I worked at Yale for years and when you see a professor with the shoes on the wrong feet you are definitely less impressed. That is unless you want to look at what makes up an Atom . I had another lets call him just an employee there. Who would stand outside lecture halls trying to get a glimpse. And actually saying to a student that he had never been with an Asian girl before . Intelligent.....

I wouldn't call your personal experiences with Yale something to completely nullify the Harvard Health Department and the article they wrote on immune systems, much less the many other articles and studies online that say the same thing.

Here's an article from Harvard on immune system boosting. I'd give it a read. https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/how-to-boost-your-immune-system

I've read it and many more like it. From the article:

"There are still relatively few studies of the effects of nutrition on the immune system of humans."

Completely untrue. What they mean is "studies that we our medical ivory tower will acknowledge". Plus an article that acknowledges they know nothing about the effects of nutrition on the immune system won't go far in convincing anyone.

But they will acknowledge that "Scientists have long recognized that people who live in poverty and are malnourished are more vulnerable to infectious diseases." How about "if-then"?

And then this: "the effect of similar deficiencies on the human immune response has yet to be assessed." Really? I wonder why "medical science" has no interest in studying what we humans can do to improve our own immune systems through a healthy, well-balanced diet? Perhaps because there's no money to be made by telling people to eat better? Take responsibility for your own health? Stop blaming other people for "infecting" you? Or the government for not "protecting you"?

The teachers union in Chicago has declared school too unsafe to return to in-person teaching. They made themselves heard by taking to the streets yesterday to protest, threatening a "safety strike" if schools reopen. Good to see they are all keeping themselves "safe" by staying home.

LOOK at hydroxicloroquin its 89 cents a pill it has been used for 65 years in treatment of malaria and other aliments. they are attacking it yet people who had covid swearing by it saved there life. Yet the media says its dangerous. To who the tooth fairy its been subscribed all over the world. There's just no money to be made with it yes they will certainly bury a cheap maybe slightly less effective med to sell us the 35 dollars a pill cure. ABSOLUTELY.

" Citing reports of heart complications, the FDA said the drugs pose a greater risk to patients than any potential benefits. "

All of a sudden they’re concerned about it? It’s been in use since the 1950s. I have two relatives who have used it for decades - one for lupus and the other for rheumatoid arthritis.

100%. Who do you think funds medical research? They are interested in finding “cures” that will earn a profit. Ever heard of an “orphan disease”?
Do you think the same with vaccines; that they are a scam as well?
