@Lisak1 that is insane that he even thinks it is ok to come up with those ideas to pass into law. He should be removed from office and locked up, there is no way the people of your state support the idea of censorship and keeping the entire state on lockdown. Honestly, I can’t wrap my head around that line of thinking it defies common sense and logic. If that gets passed this country not just your state indeed is in big trouble. When they are going to start censoring what can be said, we are going down a hole we may not climb out of.
Something really needs to be done about all the career politicians that are out of touch with reality and their constituents in this country. To me if they are keeping things on lockdown they should have to provide a viable reasoning why, not because they feel like it Or it lines their pockets with more money( real reason why a lot of things are done.

As addy said fortunately In our state the governor has been more reasonable

@Jhn Well IL has a history of moving our governors from the State House directly to The Big House, so that won't be unusual for us. Our last governor/prisoner was just released prior to the pandemic. Poor Blago... he went from the jail cell to the lockdown.

I'd like to believe these things can't happen in the Land of the Free, but unless two democrats cross over on that 12 person committee, our fate is sealed. We need 8 votes to overturn what he's already put into law. The committee is made up of six from each side of the aisle.

I saw where they are using tube tables at a bar to social distance in Ocean City, I think
Yeah a bar over ocean city. They say they are getting orders for the tube tables.

The mayor of Cincinnati announced they are dropping the rule about social distancing, said it was impossible to enforce and dangerous for police officers. If people would just use some common sense.....but Cinti ended up on the national news the other night with pictures of people crammed into bars :(

I had my covid test at a drive through site this morning. A little uncomfortable, but quite manageable. Now need to stay put until the surgery!

On a brighter note.....my plants have arrived !! I am very impressed with how they were packaged and shipped. I'm jotting notes now on how best to plant them :)

Our governor is being forced by the people here to start opening things up as they are opening up now anyways no matter what he says. Our county is one that he won't let go to phase 2 yet. Cops won't enforce his rules. He is being overly bossy about everything and I hope he is not re-elected again! He has had other issues before this covid thing started.
So glad we are retired but I did notice some stores have really raised the price of meat to outrageous prices. Guess we will have to grow veggies and eat fruits and nuts all home grown if food continues to go higher. Hubby went to Costco yesterday and the meat is scarce there. Prolly cuz they have not raised the prices yet.
I do not want to become a vegetarian.....................I am a carnivore............EEE GADS

Hang in there, we have lots of deer.............never would shoot them though. We are meat eaters also, I can live on veggies but not dear hubby. Luckily we have some meat stocked up in the freezers.

I counted around 6 pregnant deer in our field herd. The does are constantly chasing the yearlings. Like rear up, smack with hooves and the little ones run, but they have not left the herd. There are three small ones from last year hanging around. One is a small buck.

My awesome mail lady just greeted me at the mailbox with the news that they can no longer pick up outgoing mail that we leave in our mailbox. New rules due to COVID. I said "oh. Lots of science that you all are catching it from the mail, huh?" She laughed and laughed. So I'm supposed to stay HOME... but now I have to go OUT to deliver the mail?

I'm an Illinois native and still have family there. The poor state has been in bad shape for a while. My hometown is tiny and has been economically depressed for many years. It's very sad. And the history with governors... egads.

I'm somewhat happy to report that our governor decided to repeal his 150 day lockdown "law" without calling for a vote. While that seems like a reason to celebrate some good news, it remains to be seen if he just has another maneuver up his sleeve... hard to believe he would just back down.

Hi Lisa. It looks like outdoor seating at restaurants will be available in phase three when that starts on May 29th along with other businesses like hair salons and barber shops. That’s all good news with the cases going down. We have had some scary news with some of the guys working on construction with us. So far two plumbers and three hvac guys had to get tested because several people tested positive. So far everyone working in our crews have been okay. I still think I had it 6 weeks ago because I get winded after short walks and normally I can play match tennis for 2-3 hours and not feel a thing!
