We have too many people that believe that they will not get it, masks are not necessary, let the vulnerable hide from the world since they are the ones that will die. Refuse to not gather, refuse to wear masks, refuse to listen to reason and the rest will pay the price. Screaming that their freedom is being taken away.
We are getting resurgence of cases. Luckily we live in a county that has not been hit as hard as the more populated counties.

Therefore my husband and I will stay separate from the general population as much as we can. We have the outlook that anybody can be a carrier and we will keep our distance.

I'm so glad that many of you are taking it very seriously!

I do work in a school - no, no updates. As it stands right now, we will not be able to re-open on time, regardless of the data, stats, numbers, whatever. Our governor is requiring 28 days between phases, instead of 14 like every other state. So we COULD end phase 3 by June, which means end of Phase 4 would not happen until end of July, which means phase Five end of August - which is three weeks past our scheduled start date. There’s talk of modifying schedules and whatnot, but nothing definitive.
I'm relieved to be retired.......can't even imagine what a "typical" school day will look like with covid.

Many of the colleges here are planning to return to class on campus mid-August. Students will be masked and distanced. They are toying around with having students in dorms live in a "cohort" -- dining together to limit some of the mixing. One child's college has released their schedule - eliminating a day off for Labor Day and eliminating a fall break. They will have class continuously till the day before Thanksgiving, then they will be off till the Spring semester begins January 7. Again, this is a way to minimize the frequency of traveling around so much back and forth between states. We just went on a vacation to Jekyll Island. We had the place nearly to ourselves. There was a mix of people masked and unmasked. The museum there was requesting visitors to wear masks indoors and provided them. Some people chose to wear them and some didn't. We brought our own and wore them. To me, it's an easy way to help others. I have no problem with it. I'm hopeful that sensible measures and some compromise will help the country continue to function with some semblance of normalcy. Here in GA, our numbers are still OK. Not fabulous, but pretty good, all in all. If heat and humidity do, in fact, help kill the virus, then we will be in good shape for a few months!

So are we, but not relieved to be in the death age.................. I saw some talking head, on TV, a blonde, just caught a bit of it, she said isolate all the at danger people let everybody else run wild, well normal. With that comment we would be totally told to stay in our house and go no where.

Protesters in Seattle 50 miles from us have taken over an area for themselves and cops have abandoned their precinct station and left. Some protesters wearing face masks, some not, sleeping on the streets or perhaps in the abandoned cop station. How is all this gonna help w/the virus situation here? Hope it does not start getting worse again w/people dying and spreading it all over again.

Although I hate to get "political".... Regarding these rallies (and many more like them around the country) It doesn't help the virus. It doesn't help the repressed black, oops, sorry --- people of color! --- that it is supposedly "about". It's just a fuster cluck of society rallying around the current situation of importance.

I now bow out & return you to your regularly scheduled program of ponding life & happiness. And wine. I now return to my glass of wine.... :p

I 100% support people's right to protest (not to be confused with rioting and looting). It's our constitutional right and sometimes the only way we can make our voices heard.

But it was AMAZING to see how fast the media narrative changed from ALL HUMAN CONTACT IS INSTANT DEATH to PROTESTING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANY THREAT THAT MIGHT BE CAUSED BY COVID. How. How. HOW is it possible that protesting is MORE IMPORTANT to public health than being allowed to open your business? Being allowed to work? Being outdoors enjoying the fresh air and sunshine? Being with family? Going to church?

Remember the lawyer who dressed up like the Grim Reaper and wandered the Florida beaches warning of imminent death from Covid? Guess where he was during the protests? OUT WITH THE CROWDS... protesting. I guess Covid has a strong moral code. Won't hurt you if you're doing the "right" things.

Seattle was my home town. I grew up there and times were just fine then but now I am disgusted and ashamed of how things are going there. Will not darken their door! 60,000. people marched through there today all close together. What happened to the virus rules? Nothing makes sense anymore. People have lost their minds!

You have inadvertently high lighted the world to come. It started with BLM yes its beyond excuses to what that one cop did to George. But so much has been lost with the blm movement. The tearing down of statues of or history that are offensive to sooooo many as our police sit by and watch. And now it's the ball fields, Nascar and the Military bases schools and anything else that has a offensive name meaning or time in our history. Well folks the Washington Jefferson Lincoln MEMORIALS WILL NEED 24/7 SECURITY and whats next and this is there real goal...... THE CONSTITUTION...... Who wrote it every signature on that is that of a slave owner. They will be coming for that and unfortunately it will probably be pretty soon.

There are very reliable and confirmed that covid is not airborn but it can travel from a cough or sneeze. That it is touching such surfaces and then rubbing your eyes or eating with your hands introducing it to your mouth " though it needs to be breathed in. The masks the distancing the RULES are little more then teaching us how to be subservient. to do as we are told sound familiar sound like any other country that is trying to destroy democracy ? if you were to take a piece of fabric and put it under a microscope. and looked at a single strand of the Virus has voids that are in scale would be like you walking through a two car garage door

That just goes to show how uneducated these wonderful people are . If this ever ha s to happen again anyone who knows guns or an assault weapon in the true word . If you are carry such a weapon there is no doubt who the perp is take away the very large weapon that they can't hide no matter how hard you tried. Now make them start to carry a hand gun and you'll have a nightmare you may never see right in front of you GOOD MOVE. For those that don't know assalt weapons that look like Ar 15 are capable of being a fully automatic weapon. However that firing pin is illegal and it has the same speed as just about every other gun out there it's call semi automatic . meaning as fast as you can pull the triger and release and pull the trigger again is as fast as the gun will shoot. so a small 22 long shell which by the way is one of the furthest traveling bullets out there. can fire as fast as a Ar.15

My late husband was a class 3 dealer, we had a lot of full auto guns. Some were small, all were federal tax stamped. My favorite was the mini uzi, you could hide that one real easy. Think about the movies the long black coat and that little full auto gun is pulled out. When I moved from gun friendly AZ to non gun friendly MD I sold them all. Also paying for new tax stamps would have been pricey, all would need to be put in my name.

The semi auto hand guns are real easy to shoot very fast, I sold over 300 when I moved, another 100 once I made it to MD , still have a few. They all have or can have large clips.

I prefer revolvers, if you can't save yourself with 6 bullets you are history anyway.

Even with banning everything the criminals will not be giving up their guns, just the people with them registered.
