lol got it! I am so not OCD, I planted all our fences lines with stuff so no weed wacking, throw out flower seeds and what grows grows, quit doing mulch. Do control some of the weeds lol

My late hubby wanted all trees / plants in a straight line. I told him that is not going to happen!

I tend to lean to the ocd side a bit also @sissy and it does keep one busy trying to fix everything just the way you think it needs to be. Can make one a bit crazy at times :wacky:

I watch a lot of news and have not heard that at anytime. I'M sorry there is next ro no news today Ted Copple himself said it best The tabloids and onions are all we see today they take one one part of a sentence that fits there idea...
When there are vaccines then we can go back to large gatherings, sporting events, and concerts . the common cold and aids are similar viruses they have no found a cure for the common cold.
We won't be back to normal for over a year, With the media today Giving there opinion and the experts the MODELS. its the same as the weather its a cyclone bomb. its a snow apocalypse. Its the times we are living in Life is precious death is part of life we can do more today then at any other time to delay death. BUT how far do we go.... I have underlying conditions several and I am out there everyday. Do I trust others opinions no they are opinions I listen and make up my own mind. make my own mistakes. We are way to close to the point where are neighbors and our Experts tell us how we are to live.... Look at history ... those times and places are one that no one wants to return too. We have some who want to feed the world care for everyone. protect and house everyone . These ideas are great i wish we could but the task is IMPOSSIBLE... until people want to work to help them selves its futile.

They are talking about having farmers markets as drive thru. Pretty sure that will be a disaster, people want to walk around and see whats available. Not sure how this is for the Amish communities.
With our smart phones we can pay with exchange of cash or a card. this alone can tenfold reduce the spread of all illnesses by touch. we all know money is the dirty of dirty so stop the cash at least a card is a sheet of plastic that you can have the clerk drop the card in a bleach wipe. There was a practice in the 1800's they would walk up to the town well where there was a cup on a long handle you scooped up the water and drank from the cup this practice alone was responsible for one of 5thge worst pandemics in history whe don't use that practice anymore shouldn't we learn from history is it not the best teacher.

yeh and like my sister and her hubby had that on their smart phones and some one stole her phone at the hospital when she was working a 12 hour shift and what a hassle to get that resolved .They broke into 6 lockers at the hospital and since she did not even have a chance for lunch she did not know until she left at 12 midnight .They had charged 8 thousand dollars and taken over 5 thousand out of her bank account .ATT was no help either .Took her 8 months to try to resolve everything .Her hubby is an over the road trucker and it even effected him .

sounds like she did not have a password on her phone or it stayed on too long when she was done using it so she didn't have to put her pin in again . I'm sure there's ways around passwords but you should be able to cancsee the phone by the time they get through. Never alow Google or any service to remember your password

I read a local article that a near by Texas Longhorn is running a "farmers market" drive through this week end. You may purchase a pre-packed box or fruits or vegetable and also get meat ready to cook. Think it's just this week end.

Okay it seems like every thread if they go on long enough on GPF eventually goes to homemade recipes and cute pictures of dogs sooner or later! I guess that's better than being overwhelmed by all the difficult news. I read somewhere that for your mental health you should find out what's going on in the news and then shut off the tv or radio to protect your sanity. I think that makes some sense!

The weather and storms down south are depressing enough and then you add in covid 19 .You need a smile and comfort and pets are very good at that and comfort food really makes it even better .I made homemade bread yesterday which I have not done in years .I used my moms old cook book .Seems like more people are going back to planting veggie gardens here .Keep the children and your mind busy and your hands .

@CometKeith - that's exactly the approach I take. I check a few news sites every morning, then I turn a blind eye to everything but the weather until the next day. The 24 hour news cycle will drive anyone nuts!

I just pulled a loaf of homemade sourdough out of the oven - nothing like fresh bread slathered with delicious butter!
