I remember as a kid drinking a lot of soda, and back in the day of getting fast food, more soda ... then they started putting in the fake sugars ... I *THOUGHT* I was craving a soda a month or so ago ... was out running errands, and both hubby and I were hungry, so grabbed a couple of SLICES of pizza for a quick snack ... thought a soda (Sprite) would be good for a change. I opened the bottle and took one sip ... couldnt drink it. It was nasty. On a daily basis, I drink one of three things ... Iced Coffee (I know it's bad, but is it better that I like extra extra cream???), WATER, or juice (apple, orange, or crangrape) ... although the juice isnt so healthy .. I think I read Tropicana and Ocean Spray are both on the GMO list:-(

My wife was given this link from her daughter and we are excited to make some this weekend. I will let you all know how it works out and tastes next week. I think we are going to make the pumpkin pie flavour on the 8 additional flavours page. sounds yummy.

This easy, no-cook "summer porridge" has make-ahead convenience and is packed with nutrition to get your day off to a healthy start. Make it in individual mason jars for a perfect serving size and an easy grab-and-go breakfast straight from the fridge (it's eaten cold). Take it along to work or anywhere. Great to serve on a breakfast or brunch buffet. High in protein, calcium & fiber; low in fat & sugar.

I never was allowed pop as a kid, mom told me it would rot my teeth out like the neighbors we knew, I was pretty young, and I just remember his rotten teeth, after seeing that I never really developed a taste for sweet pop or juice. I would much rather have nice navel oranges, and mini Babybel cheese.... yum! ....eating that right now! :)
