This is why everyone should be carrying. Zimmerman would have approached with his weapon drawn and explained his concerns and Trayvon would have been a lot more civil and explained that he was just walking to his fathers house. Or Trayvon seeing that he was being followed by a creep could have drawn his weapon, felt safe enough to ask Zimmerman why he was following him and gotten either the drop on Zimmerman when he reached for his skittles or gotten a satisfactory explanation and each go about their business.
That's why guns were called "peacemakers".

Vast majority of those deaths are from suicides and gang related who obtain their guns illegally such as across the border. Every gun death is not created equal.

So, I guess once guns get banned in the entire country, then we can be the next knife murder capital in the world, that is second after the UK where they actually have banned guns.

I would much rather take my chances with a gunshot wound instead of a wound from a one inch wide, six inch long knife.

UK doesn't have a gun ban, they are just very restricted like us.

FOr example, I have an assault rifle similar to the AR-15. I now can't even take it out of the house, just hang it on the wall and wait for doomsday when I need it to defend the family lol.

No just less firearms. Firearms make it too easy to kill someone in anger, too easy to kill a kid at home playing with it etc.

Actually it can't just hang on the wall. It has to be in a locked room or cabinet with a trigger lock. Ammo has to be locked up in a seperate location. The 30 rd mag I had is now pinned to 5 rds. But Ok I should be just happy to look at the $1,000 hunk of metal that I paid but now I can't sell for $250.

Thats an old outdated way of thinking. LEss guns mean less gun deaths, very simple. Many other countries follow this and they doing just fine.

To be honest I'm all for more gun deaths. I say arm every ghetto to the teeth in fact. Let them all kill each other. This will have no effect on me. Do you really think its the licensed concealed carry folks causing all these deaths? If so, you are very sheltered.
