The only tadpoles I have ever seen in either of my ponds was when I had the leak from the bog, and dug it out. There were quite a few in there, and silly me tossed them into the pond, thinking they would have much more room to swim! Didn't realize at the time that the koi may have found them an inviting snack. Never did know if they got eaten, or survived, but I've got plenty of frogs, so no worries.
Found this guy when I was cleaning the algae out of the skimmer basket this evening He was tucked in between the wall of the skimmer (pump side) and slide in filter. He stayed there for me to take his pic. I gently removed the filter and made sure he didn't get smooshed, and he went down into the water. Probably should have removed him from the skimmer, but figure he will be alright. Seemed like a strange place for him to be, as where he was there was a rock covering the top, he was half in the water, half out. Maybe it was warmer there than in the water, or in the air outside the skimmer. Here he is:

I pulled three small ones out of our skimmer, they seem to like it.

Our tree peepers are gray, they make more noise than any of the frogs.

Seems the smaller the frog, the larger it's voice! My bullfrogs don't make as much noise. Sure wish I had some peepers come around again this spring. We shall see. None last year, only few tiny frogs showed up well into the summer, after breeding time, so no noise.

My residence frog died :( when the weather warmed up a while ago it went to stay in our small nature pond but then the weather went cold and freezing again for a few days. I thought it was fine, sleeping in the pond, but today I looked at it closely and it got all fuzzy covered it body so I got it out and buried it under a butterfly bush.

The frog might've been ok if it stay in the big pond. I'm hoping we have more frog this year, or better yet, have tadpoles...
