Mucky, I wondered about turtles and eating fry/eggs. I do have at least 6 fry this year in my koi pond, and at least 3 I've seen in the goldfish pond. I'm happy with that. I sure don't want 50 fry living each year. As it is, sooner or later I'll have to sell some, but catching them is the problem. LOL I don't mind the turtles eating some or most of the eggs/fry. I sure cannot imagine that the frogs eat any fry, but I'm probably being naive. They seem to do all their hunting above water. I suspect I will have more fry make it through any further spawnings this summer, if the weather ever cools down long enough for them to spawn again. Water temps have been 80 in the a.m. to 88 in the evening! Yuck!

ce I watched a bullfrog chase a fish and almost catch it! The frog was fast, the fish just a tiny bit faster.

That's what I wondered, Addy, and you with your underwater camera, have all those angles to watch by! Thanks for letting me know. I don't even mind if the bullfrogs get a few fry, as I don't need any more fish, it's just fun to watch them grow and change colors. One of the goldies from last year that was still solid black this year, is now orange on his head and belly. I still have another one that is solid black, too. Others last year all changed to solid orange/red before the fall. The black/orange one is really neat looking, which it would stay that way!

lol ce I was standing by the pond, looking at the lilies, I saw a fish swim up, 3-4 inches, watch the frog come out from under a rock chasing it in a flash. The fish turned on its tail and ran. Wish it was caught on camera, the camera is at the other end of the pond.

HOWD 'YA LIKE TA SEE THIS HERE GUY IN YER PAWND? WOODYA ? HUH?
ANYWAYS I STOLE THIS FROM LARKINS FACEBOOK PAGE...

For almost two months now families in and around the border town of Rodeo, NM have been seeing their small dogs and cats go missing. A mountain lion was thought to be the culprit but after
the discovery of this giant Sonoran Desert Toad (Bufo alvarius) yesterday outside the Chiricahua Desert Museum the locals are sure that this toad is responsible for the loss of their pets and they
are hopping ...
mad. This toad weighed in at 57 pounds, that was after it dispensed about 2 gallons of urine during its capture. The Sonoran Desert toad is the largest native toad to North American
but does not typically get any larger than about 1.5 pounds and a length of 7.5 inches so this is most definitely a new world record, probably?

KoiGuy/Larkin, I'd have to check that picture with Snopes to believe it, especially since they said what the average size was. Photoshopped for sure! :)
Sissy, congrats on your Cubby! I have the same mower, although mine is about 9 years old, and running perfectly still, too. You will love it. If you have never had a ZTR, you will be hooked. Cuts mowing time by at least 1/3, and when I was married, I mowed around more than 100 trees, so it really cut down the mowing time. In fact, we got the Cub when our son was in Iraq, and I put his Unit or Battalion or whatever it's called on the front of it in metallic lettering. LOL Still there, too! Oh, the model is "Tank", and I thought that was fitting for him.
