Yep, JW, they growl and bark (kinda bark sound) and are very gritty! The big female is a bully, but the littlest male (first born, too), is scappy, and comes right back at her! LOL They are a hoot to watch. Been starting them on potty training. I take them outside, and since my prevailing winter winds are from the NW, we go to the east side of the house which, conveniently, is where the dryer vent is! So, since the temps plummeted to the low 30's and getting down to 20's at night, I turn on the dryer and "instant heat" for their potty area. So far, so good! I take all 3 out in a laundry basket, put them on the mulched area of the flower bed, and within 5 minutes, they have all peed and gone poop. How's that?! I have puppy pads in their whelping box, so that's super easy to clean up twice a day, too. They are now inside the house, because with the temps dropping, I didn't want to have to heat the dog kennel shed when I could bring them inside for "free". Female is staying until week of Christmas, so I will potty train her along the way. No bites on the two males yet. Hoping to have them gone by Thanksgiving. They will be 6 weeks this coming Sunday.

Actually, I was drying something when I took the pups out yesterday, and it was like a light bulb going on moment! They gravitated to the blowing warm air, and it happened to be in the same area they are being taught to potty, so it was a win-win situation. :)

Good idea on the dryer heat for potty breaks and hope you get some nice homes for them soon. Kinda sad when they leave tho as they are so cute to watch.

If I don't turn on the dryer, they go to the vent and look up into it like "who turned off the switch?" It's funny. I'm trying not to turn it on all the time, but when it's 12 degrees like this morning, I'm happy I have that option for them! They sure are fast to go potty, though. :)
One male has already gone to his forever home. A very nice young man and his lady friend came on Sunday, even with it snowing! Only got a couple of inches, but I gave them credit for not worrying about the snow. Glad the trip was safe for them. He is thrilled with his little buddy. And, said he had a very enjoyable buying experience with me, so that made me feel really nice. He is young, maybe 20 or so, and that makes it even better!
Female has deposit paid on her, and I have the other male spoken for. His family coming on Thurs. or Sunday. They have 4 children, and so he should have a whale of a fun time with his new family. Female is going to family with 9 and 11 year old boys. Sweet!
Here's the video I took this evening. I think it's so cute. The male is the instigator throughout the whole video, until the end when the female finally throws in a woof herself! They are 6.5 weeks old now.

They are so funny w/ their little gravely growl barks. He has a tougher bark tho and she has a little girly one. You sure don't have any trouble each year finding them good homes pretty fast.

Those are some cute puppies. Boxers are about the best overall dogs you can have, I'm on my 3rd. My first one was almost identical to the mom you have. They are so comical and can be pretty smart...other than the female we have. Sometimes I thnk I can right through her eyes to the back of her skull.....nothing up there haha

Tahoe, these are Boston Terrier puppies, but maybe you figured that out. I think they look like miniature Boxers though, don't you? I had a Boxer when I was growing up, she died when she was 11, and I was 12. My best friend! Then I had one when my kids were little, and she was the best, too! Now I have the mini versions.
All the puppies will be going to great homes, it appears. That's what happens when you sell them for high dollar. LOL Well, I guess that doesn't mean they will go to a good home, but if they can afford to pay for the puppy, you assume they can afford to feed them well and take them to the vet, etc. I love it when my puppies get children in their new families! Puppy Male #2 is going home to 4 children, maybe tomorrow evening. Otherwise on Sunday. Female gets to stay until Christmas. Once there is only one puppy, she will get spoiled rotten. I plan to let her sit with me in my recliner as I type on FB and the GPF. :)

Yep, I sure thought they were Boxers, the pic with the mom made me think that with her Brindle coloring. I did notice in the videos that they were stocky little boogers so it made me wonder, now I understand why. Glad to hear you found them good homes.
After having out first Boxer, we keep going back, they are so addciting. Ours made it until 11 1/2 so he had a good long life.

I love how feisty terriers are, my little one has no clue she is not the great big hunter, she thinks she is.

Totally agree with you, Addy! Terriers would face down a cougar, given the chance. :)
Here's a pic of what they look like when they are acting fierce ... or maybe they really are!!! This is mom and puppy, arguing over the best spot in the crate.

She loves to sit next to me on the recliner ... is there right now as I type! And, when I get up, she barks at me to come back ... or is it because she doesn't want to jump down?!? I really don't want her jumping down yet either. So far it's like a little prison, she stays there until I let her down. LOL

Love love LOVE this pic! I actually got about 5 pics of them in this or close to this position. This was the best of the puppy, even though Denali is looking slightly away. The puppy has a much more smooshed face than Denali, which comes from her daddy, and bred purposely for that! I do like how Denali's nose is slightly longer than normal, as she does not snore at all. Come to think of it, the female puppy doesn't either. Her little brother had even flatter face, and bigger brother had little longer nose. All 3 were different.
