OK, we are going to Whitby (sp?) Island, he says it's north of Bainbridge Island where my brother lives (going to visit him, too). Maybe we will drive to WA. Anyone, one way or another, we will figure out to come see you, Colleen! I want to go to Canada, and what better reason than to visit a GPF friend!
Keith, you and your wife are MORE than welcome to come visit me anytime. Give me some forewarning, and I will be sure to be around. I am about 90 minutes south of Champaign, so not sure if you are aware of that or not. It's all interstate, so easy to find.

Hey Colleen, Sorry I was way off. It's only 799.1 miles not the about 1000 miles that I guessed!

Haha, yep the new BF is sure taking up lots of my weekend time, that's for sure! Had a great time watching boat races on the lake his house is on last Sat., and then went to the largest manmade lake in IL, Carlyle Lake, on Sunday on his pontoon boat with 2 of his daughters, and my Boston, Denali. We all had a super great time!
Captain Joe with his First Mate, Denali. LOL

Saw a Great Blue from Joe's back deck, had to zoom in really far, but loved the tree foreground, and the reflection on the water. And, TONS of GBH's on Carlyle Lake, too!

Two daughters and Joe chilling in the lake. The air temp was 97 yesterday, and with the humidity, it was 104-107, depending on which channel/station you listened to. HOT pretty much sums it up. The water felt nice and cool!

Denali was watching where Olivia went, after she got off the boat to go bring the truck and trailer to load us up.

Couple of pics from the boat races. These are small boats, 2-3 people can easily pick one up, but man did they make a lot of noise and go FAST! This was on Raccoon Lake, where Joe lives. We drove down a little ways to watch them race, although I watched from his yard that morning while they were warming up. Better view from out front. :)

You are just having too much fun lately w/ this new boyfriend and whoa the whole family is even involved w/him.............even the dog. This is sounding serious to me and we even have a name and a face now :)
And oh boy what a plus, a guy w/ a home on a lake! I think he is a keeper CE ;)

That would be Whidbey Island CE and it's not far from us. You have to see Deception Pass while you are over there. It's beautiful especially on a clear day otherwise you can't see much. Hope we have some nice weather in Sept of 2015 for ya. It can go either way at that time of year.

Thanks, JW and Colleen. He's a keeper, for sure! First time I can honestly say I have a BF that thinks the world of ME! OMG, it's really hard for me to accept, but I'm learning. ;)
I thought it must be near you, JW, that Whidbey Island. That's where his reunion will be, and he's talking about taking 2 weeks and driving all over northern US (I'm all for that, cause then we can swing north into Canada to see Colleen!!!!!) to west coast, then south into CA, and then back through the center of the States. We shall see what really happens, but believe me, he's not going anywhere, and neither am I.
His middle daughter is due to have his second (her second, too) grandchild on Friday, C-Section. I am renting a van that day (my daughter is paying, so we can bring the walnut cradle her dad made for my sister 13 years ago ... heirloom quality, she wants it for her babies someday ...), then putting my stuff and the cradle in it, mowing my yard, and heading to Joe's house so I can go with him back to the hospital to see Baby Hattie! I don't want to intrude on her immediate family, although I have been more than welcomed into his family. My daughter will meet him and 2 of his girls then on Sun. We leave for UT on Sat. They will be visiting Joe's brother and his wife and family, and my daughter will meet us on Interstate 70 (about hour south of her house) to pick me up before they head south to St. George to visit his family. I'll head to St. George then on Wed. evening, so will have time with both my daughter and his family during this trip. So excited to see everyone in UT! My daughter and I already have our time together planned out. LOL She's hoping for warmer weather, I'm hoping for cooler, so we shall see what happens. It's been 90's here for last week, and the humidity is a killer.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, everyone kept telling me the right guy WILL come along sooner or later. Sometimes it's hard waiting though. It had been 3 years since I dated, so I was beginning to think I needed to start looking again, which is how I found Joe. On "Our Time", you know, the dating site for "older" couples. LOL Anyhow, we shall see what the future brings for us. I'm still trying to get used to the extra amount of affection and time spent with someone else. I sure didn't want to get so set in my ways that I could not find "time" for a man! I'm glad he came along when he did! It's a change, but one I'm willing to make in time.

My goldfish are enjoying the free flow of the bog since I moved the irises that had multiplied and were causing a blockage, which in turn caused higher water level in the bog, which caused a leak! Anyhow, all is back to normal, and now that the water can flow freely, the fish love to be at the outflow and grab any goodies that may flow their way.

This bullfrog has taken up residency since I moved the irises out of the way. He sits under the rock at the outflow of the bog. Pretty sure he's hoping for treats, too!

And, today the dogs were "playing" with the baby possum. Yeah, I know, it's an ugly possum, so get rid of it, they cause problems, eat your cat food, etc, etc., etc. But, he's just a BABY!!! Smaller than my hand. So, I washed him off, found no wounds bleeding, so hoping he was just gently injured. Put him in a corner of my little barn, where the dogs can't get into, and an hour later he had moved. Probably still in there, went to hide, or maybe moved on. When he's feeling better, pretty sure he will leave and not come back. But, I just could not kill him. They are really ugly, but they are not aggressive, he never tried to bite when I picked him up or washed him off. :_

I felt bad for a second about the last mouse I just caught in the basement with a snap trap, poor thing was only barely half grown and must have come out looking for food, cause I killed his mom and daddy off yesterday in traps. Then I remembered I hate mice!! he he he
CE your pond water sure looks nice and sparkling clear! I see them goldfish look fat and colorful, life must be good in your pond! :)
