I saw one of the newbies in the pond this afternoon, so likely all 3 are doing fine. Spotted a totally white goldfish baby, about 1.5" long, so there are at least 3 of those little ones. Some other babies born earlier this year are more like 4" long already.

I have not seen my babies at all since the 2 times I did see them .So wondering about them .I have not had a free moment to look and not much time to even come on here .Trying to get projects done but seems like they are all only half done .Did get all the grass mowed and trimmed but it rained today for an hour .

I sure understand that, Sissy! I should have mowed today, ended up going horseback riding, took the neighbor girl, one of the kids that takes care of my animals and ponds when I'm gone on vacation or for the weekend. She LOVED it, and wants to go again! I was afraid a 4 hour ride would be too much, offered to turn back after an hour, but she was all out for the whole trip around the lake. Fantastic weather, and good company. Got new mule last night, and he was awesome! Definitely going to keep this boy. Now, just need a better name for him than "Clyde". That sounds too ... dull. Friend suggested Banjo, which I really like, but taking all offers at this point. Don't want to start calling him Clyde and then change it. He doesn't seem to know his name anyhow, so it would be no big deal to him.

You are out horse riding and I'm out busting my butt up killer hills pedaling a bicycle today. I think you got the better thing going............the horse does all the work!

Haha, you got that right, JW! Actually, we were on dirt trails all day, horse trailer, some mud in the lower areas ... lots of mud when you consider that there were 2 sets of bicycle treads on the trails! I could not believe it! We figured someone had some awesome leg muscles to peddle up and down those hills and through that mud! Never did see them either! Figured they must have brought horses and bikes and rode both, and bikes were hidden when we got back to camp. :) You obviously have the better legs, though, JW!

Don't know about the better legs deal but sure try to make them get me where I want to go. I don't have much muscle's in my legs, never did. I have to push, push, push myself. Wish I did tho cuz I could really fly up those hills then! On the steep ones I have to get off and push, dog gone it! Rained today on our ride too....................sun came out a bit later but I'm afraid Fall rains are gonna win soon. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I want my sunshine back so bad!

Well, it's a nice sunny day again here in the Midwest, but only 44 so far this morning. I'm loving this fall weather, came right on time, too. I would prefer 50's and 70's, but will take 40's and 60's, too. And in my last comment above, I meant horse "trails", not horse "trailer".... noticed that typo too late to edit and correct it, darn it!

Very cool, Sissy, and what is it about them that makes them "fairy stones"? Is it that they look like one stone poked right through another one? I need to know if I should be looking in my pea gravel for fairy stones. :) Never heard of fairy stones before ...

neat stones. I have stone roses from the sand dunes in utah. We collected them back in the woods. Coral pink sand dunes we used to go every year to ride the dunes (other hubby) some neat rocks. I can take some pictures of the rocks if you all want to see them.

It is because they look similar to a cross and you find them on the ground all over the park and they say fairies are responsible for them .I even found a piece of amythist.I think this is a pic of it but can't tell .
