Went out to look for a starlink satellite train tonight and it was nice and bright, and right overhead!

Caught the satellite train again, but it was much dimmer and further separated tonight.

And here's the moon tonight. Less than two weeks until the total lunar eclipse in the US!

3rd repair, will be off line a bit. Hurts way worse than the first two.
On drugs lol

Way more sore this time, he lifted off the grafts, scraped scar tissue off and who knows what else. Nurses gave me oxy, going to put head back and relax. Just one, to get past this first ouch

First time plane watching from the backyard in quite a while.

First, a Pokemon-themed 777 flew over. It has five or six Pokemon painted on each side. It was too high up to make them out, though.

Then a C-5 Galaxy flew over 24 miles to the north. They never seem to fly over me, but this is the first one that was actually close enough to photograph. This is actually the first time I've ever seen a C-5 in flight. I've seen them on the ground before and even walked through one but never seen them in the air.

And a bonus KC-135 right after.

Amazing flyover by one of my favorite aircraft. T-6 Texan.
I've seen this one around a handful of times over the past year. He even does occasional loops and has a working smoke system. This was the best flyby yet!

I hiked a couple miles this morning (which I posted more about in the Nature & Wildlife thread), but during my hikes I also saw some fun flyovers.

This was a rare sight. This L-29 flew past and landed at the local airport. I've actually seen this jet twice before. It flew over my house in 2020, and then I saw in on the ground at EAA Airventure in 2023.

A while later I saw a Saab 2000. An extremely rare aircraft. Only 63 were ever built, and only 31 still fly, and many of them aren't in the U.S. But an air charter company operates them in at Mitchell International Airport so they do fly around my area quite a bit. I don't normally get to see them though.

The T-6 flew over again today and I caught a photo of it in a dive.

Took a break from front flower bed renovation to restart bogs. Pumped out and cleaned 500 gallon holding tank below bog. Hosed down bog and restated pump from holding area to bog only. Will let it run for a few days and then drain holding tank and restart bog thru pond.
Major work to do on stock tank bog on goldfish pond. Leaks everywhere on plumbing.

Thinking maybe start up my main ponds. Still in healing stage. Hardest work is putting pump back in line, heavy thing. I leave it by the pond covered up for the winter. Drained of course.
