A vinyl wrap on that thing would probably cost more than the car is worth!

Moved the swarm hive under the deck to the yard hive stands. They are nasty nasty bees, very defensive. My neighbor and hubby dressed for war, I had on non bee suit armor but had a good veil on.

Still can't use the left arm a lot, good thing I have a good neighbor.

Our waterfall pump died the other day. We've had it for 10 - 12 years. Went online and they still sell the exact model, it's a Pond Master made by Danner. Price has dropped and it is plumbed exactly the same as first one :). So refreshing to find a product that's worked well, still made.......a simple swap and we're back in business.

I had a pondmaster pump for about 20 yrs till it finally gave up the ghost. The only reason I switched to Laguna was for the lower power consumption and they do make good pumps also.

@addy1 Me too glad you have a good neighbor and hope you won the war w/ no stings!

Glad you guys are doing that and not me!
We won, sort of, two stings and my pup got one sting a bee got into the house. Luckily lil bear did not react bad.

They are a nasty hive, very defensive. Hoping with the move they calm down. Now with the other bees.

I thought about a Laguna for it's energy usage, but the fact we wouldn't have to adjust plumbing at all won us over :)

We are at the end of June. Worked hard last year to get them through winter, so want to get our last harvest. Hard to ignore two huge clusters of bees needing a home. With luck and buyers we can sale them for around 400 a piece. If not we will donate the hives to a vet group that raises bees, all of the hives, rather then a few we plan to donate. So now 15 hives.

The hived swarms needed to be moved, one under the deck one right where I mow near the loop ponds. Now with the other hives.

I still can not work them ie stop swarms, inspect etc. We have honey supers on the hives = honey.
Will need help with harvest a lot of hand work.

Our missy, 9 yrs, has a almost anaphylaxis type reaction, I carry meds for her all the time.

I sat up with him for hours monitoring his reaction, he just stayed right on my lap and slept. Slight redness to his skin.

I really enjoy it, but my hands hate it. They are a really neat society, each one by age has a job to do.
